a new day

This was Lora's first visit to Florish and Blotts and she was already loving the place. It was certainly different than the bookshops in Russia or Germany and seemed to have more varieties. She was walking down the aisles wondering which books to buy when she suddenly bumped into someone.

Ever since the first time she'd been to Diagon Alley, Charlotte had been wanting to go back to Florish and Blotts. The books there were simply marvelous and she couldn't wait to buy something new. While visiting her family for a few days, she took the opportunity to beg her mum to drive her there, just while she went shopping.

As she was looking through shelves and shelves full of books, Charlotte bumped into someone. "I'm so sorry!" she apologized, turning to look at the person and recognizing the girl she'd met in the kitchens late one night.

She smiled sheepishly, "Are you alright? I'm sorry, again."

"Oh hey, it's alright!" Lora told and grinned lightly when she saw that it was the girl she had met a while ago in the kitchens. "Really, no worries," she said with a wave of her hand. "Charlotte, was it?" She was usually good with remembering people's names, though there were a couple of times she got confused.

"By the way, it's always nice to run into another book lover," she commented with a grin.

Charlotte nodded and gave the older girl a small smile as she tried to remember her name. She was pretty sure she knew it, but didn't want to take any chances in case she was wrong. How embarrassing it would be, to say the wrong name. But it would also be embarrassing to not say anything, that would just make it seem like Charlotte didn't remember her at all. The inner battle was annoying the Ravenclaw and, instead of arguing with herself, she replied, "Yes. And you're. . . Lora, right?"

"Always," she replied with a small laugh, "I can't understand some people, how they hate reading."

Lora chuckled lightly and nodded her head, "Yup, Lora it is. Glad you remembered but I wouldn't have minded at all if you hadn't, since we just briefly met," she smiled.

"Oh my gosh, I know right?" She exclaimed loudly, earning a few glares from the other customers. Smiling apologetically at them, she continued in a lower volume. "People who hate reading really don't know what they're missing." She shook her head.

"So what all good books do you get from here?" She asked the young Ravenclaw curiously, since it was her first visit here.

"They don't," Charlotte agreed and smiled brightly at her next question. "Did you know they have some Muggle books here?" she exclaimed and blushed a bit at her own excitement, lwoering her voice, "I only found out last time I came. And they have all sorts of books. From history books, to textbooks, to wizarding fiction. . ."

"Have you found any one you liked, yet?" Charlotte asked, curious.

"Muggle books? Really? Wow, that's awesome!" Lora almost shouted, and once again smiled apologetically at the other people. "Okay, now I'm officially confused which books to go for," she replied with a laugh. "I guess I could check out some wizarding fiction and Muggle books."

"Well, I just got here a few minutes before, so I didn't check out much," she admitted. "Which one's your favourite?"

"Isn't it?" Charlotte grinned, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "They're both amazing, you should definitely check them out."

She stopped to think, biting her lips, "Hard. I love a lot of books. Most are Muggle, though, and they don't have that many Muggle ones here, though they have quite a few."
