Dear Damian B. Gray,

I always wondered, is it Grey or Gray? I've never really had to write it out before. It's a cute name, really. I always forget what the B stands for. I probably can't pronounce it anyway.

I hope your Christmas is good and you get a lot of good stuff. Not crappy stuff, like socks or anything, but the good things. Gifts are the reason I'm writing, actually. I'm sure you noticed I put my necklace in the envelope. I can't keep it anymore. Not like this. I'm already a horrible person, writing to you instead of telling it to your face.

Damian, I'm really confused right now about... everything, really. I need some time to think. Alone. I used to think you could help me with all of this and I could help you with yours, but I'm starting to think we're both too messed up for another damaged person.

Please, don't hate me. Please, please, don't. I just need... a break. Maybe a short one. Maybe a long one.

Now ou see why I can't keep that damned necklace.
