Karma's fingers found themselves tangled in Ty's fur as he curled around her, her face burying into his body. "Ty." She sighed, feeling safer even in the face of the still present danger.

The leader, obvious by his size and stature over the other werewolves, stepped forward, his reddish brown fur gleaming in the moonlight. His eyes met Ty's and he growled low in his throat before motioning to the girl. Vampire. His movements said. Enemy.

His mate, a slim gray female, silent as shadow, made to get closer to the pair, sniffing at them both. Ours. She pawed at the ground, leaving scratches with her claws. Our place.

The other wolves made noises of agreement. Karma made a small sound, a whimper perhaps, and her hold on Ty tightened.

Ty snarled again, his teeth flashing as he shook his large head back and forth. His message still as clear as it was before.

    Mine.

He lowered his back end slight, tail purposely beating into Karma, trying to get her attention without attracting too much attention to the movement. He wanted her to get on. If they had to run fast, he didn't want to have to wait for her.

He nodded his head as she scratched the ground nodding his head and tilting it back in the direction he had come, back to his house.

Then We'll go. Was what he was saying. He nodded his head back to Karma his eyes still guarded, watching the wolves closely.

    Together.

Karma flinched away from the grey wolf, her eyes widening as Ty's tail beat against her. She shot a look at the lot of the wolves, her fingers tightening for purchase as she hoisted herself up onto the wolf's back.

    The response was immediate.

The Wolves around them snarled, appalled at her audacity and lowering themselves to attack. She closed her eyes, lying down on him and locking her knees, ready for him to take off.

Ours! The Alpha snarled, baring his teeth in a show of dominance. Our kill! He motioned to the girl on the wolf's back, snarling at her position.

No True Wolf! a chocolate brown Omega Male motioned frantically. Vampire Ride! No! No True Wolf!

"Tyty..." Karma whispered, her hold on him tightening. "W-what are they saying? Can we go?"

Ty didn't wait for another moment their response. It only took one snarl, and the knowledge that Karma was fully on before he took off, leaping through a weak point in their formation, none of them truely expecting him to take off that quickly.

His paws pounded on the ground as he wove through the trees, jumping over roots and ducking under branches. He moved with more agility than he thought he'd ever had. He was fast, and he was thankful for that.

But they were fast too, and there was more of them. They were stronger. He could feel his heart beating wildly as he ran faster, cursing himself, and then the world.

What had he wandered into. He use to be just a happy-go-lucky kid with no idea that there was all... this out here. And now.... now...

He'd managed to stumple himself right into a war. And it was one he was allowed to let himself lose. Not if he wanted to keep Karma safe.

    Which he most definitely did.
