As Fate Would Have It Empty As Fate Would Have It

Juliet had one skill that she could always rely on to get her into trouble - her lack of coordination when walking combined with her ability to lose herself into her own thoughts and forget about the world around her. It was how she ended up in places she wasn't supposed to be in. It was how, like now she ended up running into people.

Long light brown hair, bouncing around hers shoulders with the slight impact, her fair skin turned pinker with a blush, already coloured from the slight cold. She turned her bright green eyes onto the person she had crashed into, her soft smile already in place. Juliet never had a problem with laughing at herself.

"Oh my," she breathed grin up turned as she took in the man, "Sorry. Didn't see you there. Suppose that will teach me to live in my own world won't it?"

Her question was accompanied by a bright laugh.

It had been a long while since Will had roamed the streets of Azorat. His parents had been keeping him busy with all the formal parties and other occasions that was apparently a pureblood thing. The more he attended those functions, the more he was beginning to loathe his entire society.

But today, he had managed to escape his mansion without his parents' notice and was least bothered if they went into a panic mode. In his opinion, they deserved it for treating him like that and knew that he should probably move out soon and get his own place.

His thoughts were interrupted by someone bumping into him, but before he could reprimand the stranger, his eyes landed on a pretty face. Erasing the comment he was about to say from his mind, his traditional smirk fell on his lips and merely laughed at the young girl's question.

"I am certain that it happens to the most of us," he remarked, smirk still in place. It was indeed a good day to have gone out, he figured.

Juliet watched as his face changed; she could see the irritation, the smart words that were in store for her as the young man - he was older than herself to be sure, but not by much. Four, maybe five years at most - turned towards her. However, his own expression changed promptly to one of an open smile. Confusion crossed Juliet's own face at the change, before she shook it off and smiled again.

"I'm afraid it happens to me one or two times too often; although I just said otherwise, I don't ever seem to learn." The smile on her face contradicted the words. It was obvious she didn't feel that bad about this fact. Glancing over her shoulder, she thought about continuing on her way before manors prompted her to at least introduce herself. She had, after all, already spent two or three minutes here, it was the least she could do.

"Sorry again," she held out her hand, "I'm Juliet - so you can know who to warn all your friends about."

"Oh, it's quite alright. It's no fun to be with a girl who learns all the time, anyway," Will commented and gave the girl a wink. "After all, being spontaneous is what life is all about." He preferred the randomness and unexpected side of people, expecially the female gender. Made things a whole lot amusing.

He took her extended hand and rubbed his thumb gently across her knuckles and shook before letting go. "Pretty name for an even prettier girl, I should say," he grinned and ran a hand through his hair, not realizing his tattoos were showing. "Oh yes, I should definitely warn my friends about your dangerous attractiveness," he smirked.

It had been a while since he had had fun with a girl. He was definitely interested to see the extent of this outcome and hoped it was not a one-time thing. But definitely not for dating.

He really was not that kind of guy.

"Is it now?" the banter came out of her lips almost out of habit now. She was neither trying to be flirty, nor sure if it really came across that way, but the habit seemed to be slowly cementing into her brain. "So I take it then, you're wonderfully spontaneous."

Ducking her head, the girl blushed at his compliments; not quite as insecure as she once was, she was willing to take them without attempting to deny the sentiment behind it, but it still made her feel sort of flustered. "I'm sure its not anything to brag about."

Willing to get the attention off of herself, Juliet let her gaze drag to the tattoo's that had appeared from underneath their cloth covering. Tilting her head to the side she looked at them with mild interest, attempting to see if she could make out any rhyme or reason within them.

"Those part of your spontaneous lifestyle?"

"Wonderfully spontaneous indeed," the young man agreed, his smirk still in place. "When you have a family like mine, that is just another fanciful version of purebloods, you tend to decide that you cannot and should not end up like them," he said with a shrug of his shoulders.

He shook his head, "Quite the contrary in fact darling, you are definitely a sight to brag about." The girl was pretty, beautiful even and her seemingly innocent composure was all the more endearing. He could not remember the last time he had met such a sort of girl and he was glad to have done so now. Perhaps, a little too glad...

And he was not the one to let go of these good kind of things so easily.

Her question bringing him back to reality, Will answered, "Yes, that and also a part of my rebellious act to get my parents pissed simply because I want to." Some of the ink on his skin were random, but others were a few designs he had picked out, as he figured would represent him best. "It would be a pity if you were not the type to admire the beauty of artistic ink," he murmured, his gaze focussed intently on hers.

Purebloods. Juliet's expression stilled for a brief moment, neither falling towards the positive nor the negative, merely falling blank as her own feelings on pureblood's - the ones who actually care about that fact - slide through her mind. After all, 'mudblood' hadn't fallen completely out of fashion; she'd heard it muttered once or twice.

"So, I take it then you do not share all the... derogatory views some people have?"

Again a slight colour took place on her face however she no longer tried to argue the point.

Not thinking about it, the girl grabbed his arm, pulling it slightly closer to look at the designs, frowning as she traced a line or two, frowning as she got deeper into anaylizing the marks.

"Would it?" the question was absent-minded, not really focusing on words.

"I used to. My parents made sure to drum that thought into my mind," the young man admitted. "But due to recent circumstances, I have been convinced that those views are indeed wrong. Why, are you one of those kind of pureblood or something?" He questioned with a raised eyebrow.

Surprised by the girl's sudden action, Will merely chuckled lightly before stepping closer to her. No one had taken such an interest in his tattoos, not even the many girls he had been with. They just found it insanely attractive, but that was just about it.

It had sort of him annoyed him really.

"Yes, it would," he confirmed with a nod of his head. "I hope someone as seemingly eager as you would show some curiosity or interest, rather than disgust."

Then again, Will could always be a little...persuasive, if needed.

Juliet let out a snort, shaking her head and rolling her eyes. For some reason the suggestion - the innocent question really - was causing pure amusement in her, "Not quite, try the other end of the equation."

"Disgust?" she raised an eyebrow, glancing up an him before back at the ink. Part of her brain rationalized that she was being too chummy with a complete stranger and she should let go, but the rest of her was too caught up in her interest to care about images, or ideas she might have been suggesting. "If it were untasteful I suppose, but yours seem... nice, or something."

On last stroke, following a line until it disappeared under his sleeve and Juliet's curiosity was settled, she stepped back a sheepish grin on her face as she finally did register how forward she had been.

"Sorry, bout that - living in my own world again, I guess," she scuffed the ground and then changed the subject, "I thought about getting one once... but, well, I thought my mentor, guardian really, would kill me."

"Okay, so I take it that you are not like that," Will smirked amusedly and shrugged his shoulders. "It really wouldn't have made much difference to me if you were, I do not care to judge."

The girl's comment seemed vague and he nearly scoffed in response. Was she trying to send him some kind of signal? He was usually very accurate at interpreting such things, but the brownish blonde haired girl in front of him was slightly confusing.

Maybe he should give it a shot and give her a chance.

The smirk never left his face as the girl traced his tattoo through the sleeve. "See something you like, I suppose?" He asked, a sort of glint in his eyes. She was very intriguing, this one. He was already beginning to take a fancy to her.

"No worries, you are welcome to explore my ink anytime," he winked and leaned against one of the buildings. "Well then, why don't you just get one without your mentor knowing? There are discreet places you can get a tattoo, you know."

"At least someone in the world feels that way; sometimes its like everybody else does." Sometimes it was like you could not even help it. She herself had tendencies to do so sometimes - it was as if human nature could not help but judge, at least in the first instant, that first moment when there is nothing concrete to base it on - everyone still makes an opinion anyway.

Ducking her head, a blush crossed her features as she realized the implications of her actions, and the tone behind his voice. Flirting, that was close to flirting wasn't it? She hadn't really meant to invite that on, but she also didn't know how to fend him off without offending him. After all, it had been her fault for being so forward.

"I'll keep that mind," she said softly looking up at him and then back down again. "That's easier said then done; you don't know my mentor. Things don't stay hidden from her very well. No matter how well you think you've done it."

"like I give a fuck what everyone thinks," the Russian scoffed and rolled his eyes. "All those people who make such a judgement are screwed up minds anyway. In fact, I am actually ashamed to admit that I used to be like that. Then again, feel free to blame my parents for that misconception." Being from a high class family, he had been judged one too many times, up to a point wherein he just got fed up and snapped.

Will nodded his head along to the girl's words, "That is very much unfortunate. I would not know how to advice you anyway, since I really did not have a good relationship with my mentor, quite the opposite in fact." He simply chuckled as he remembered the how much trouble he had caused the DADA Professor.

"But when I really think about it, skin as flawless as yours should not be ruined by sketching in something as rudimentary as a permanent mark, if it is a tattoo," he told softly, an unusual smile on his face, his gaze once again intense on hers.

She gave a soft smile, ducking her head once more at his compliments. Although she appreciated the appreciation she was at a loss for what to do with in. The boy had to already be out of school, he was quite a few years older than her. She wasn't sure if she should state she wasn't interested or not. He was probably just being kind, thus she'd look like a fool if she did so.

"Its all for the best anyway," she admitted with a slight grin, looking up to meet his gaze for a moment before shuffling uncomfortably again, "I fear I'm too much of a sissy to handle the pain."

Glancing down at her watch she started slightly, "Oh my." She worried her lip, she didn't want to take off rudely, but...

"Speaking of Mentors, mine's probably waiting to take me back to Hogwarts, I was only allowed away for a bit, to get some things," she held out her hand for a shake, "It was nice meeting you. Maybe I'll see you around sometime?"
