Isn't Something Missing? Empty Isn't Something Missing?

Post by Savannah Lerran Mon Oct 01, 2012 1:59 am

The girl, really, little more than a child, stared wide eyed around the room. Though it wasn't her that had lived there, the room was filled with photos of her. And maybe that hurt more than anything else of the last few days.

Rosie had loved her to no end. But in the end, love hadn't stopped her from dying.

Death. Just the word, just the idea brought even more tears to the girl's eyes. She'd been crying on and off for days. Ever since she'd heard, it'd been as if her whole life had been turned upside down.

And in a way, it had.

Rosie had always been there for her. She'd been more than a mentor. She'd been the older sister Savannah had always wanted. And now she was gone and it wasn't fair.

    Vampires weren't supposed to die.

"It's not fair," she murmured, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as a million thoughts swirled around her head. She was a vampire for Morgana's sake! They were bloody immortal. The two of them had talked about how it'd be the other way around, Rosie would be the one left when Savannah died.

But that had proved to not be the case. Staring down at the papers in her hands, she let out a strangled sob, taking them and throwing them across the room. She didn't want to see them. She didn't want more proof that Rosie was dead.

Everything, the house, all of Rosie's money, even Honeydukes. It was Savannah's.

But she didn't want it. She didn't want any of it. The only thing she wanted was her mentor back.

And as she broke down for what felt like the millionth time that day, the girl, still dressed in black was haunted by the voices that plagued her. His message was simple, a refrain that had paused so many months ago.

    But it was back.

Look around, Anna. See all of this? You're to blame. Rosie's gone, and it's all your fault.
