Law and Order Empty Law and Order

Post by Kallie Patterson Wed Oct 24, 2012 1:15 am

The door was open. Really that was all that caused it. Left open a crack she had been able to see it, and upon looking in she could see that someone hadn't pushed their chair in just right, and that had started it. From there it was the quills left on the desk, although neat they weren't in the right spot. They had to be in the right spot; so she had to go around the table and moving them all so they were horizontal, in line with the inkwells, that had to be on the right side of the chair they were in front of. After that it was the table itself, upon examination she realized that it wasn't right in the room, off centre - it needed to be centre. So she had to fix that too, and since that moved everything on top of it, she had to fix the quills, ink and chairs again.

After all that, the woman relax slightly, taking a deep breath, sure that she had fixed everything in the room. Until she spied a poster, add or instruction of some sort on the wall that wasn't straight. So she had to straighten that too; if that one was wrong than maybe the others were too. So it simply would not do until she had checked every article on the wall.

That's how she ended up there, staring at the map, looking at the mess of strings upon it. There was no logic to it, there was only strings upon strings - and the chaos was nagging at her, driving her to reach up and fix them. Yet there was something... she almost felt like she couldn't touch them. Thus, hand twitching, Kallie stood, stuck in place, unsure of with urge, which voice to follow - unsure how to keep order.
