    Play Date Empty Play Date

Post by Adrian Chmerkovskiy Sun Feb 03, 2013 11:03 pm

    "Roar! Roooar! Roooaar!"

Sitting square on the ground beside the water, Adrian held the stuffed dragon high, moving it through the air and giggling as he set more and more "towns" on fire. In the small patch of sand his father had found for him, a series of small castles and other things had been sculpted by the man in question. Feliks, although he would claim he was doing it only for his son's enjoyment, was actually getting more out of it than perhaps even the child was. He had continued his sand sculpting long after Adrian was satisfied with what he had.

His small hand came down and flatted one of the tiny mounds that had been built up and he set the aptly named dragon - Roar - down on top of it, bounding his little stuffed feet into the ground and giggling. He didn't have a single concern for the said he was matting into his fur. Sand that one of his parents would later have to clean out of the flat.

"Fire! Roar! burn!" He announced with glee, giggling more until his speech fell back into baby babble that he didn't understand once more. So intent, was he, in fact on his playing that he didn't notice the blonde that approached his father, the sarcastic and snide comments that flipped between the two, or the other small child that the blonde girl had brought with her.

With Firenze in hand, Theran made his way carefully towards the sandy area, his gaze drawn towards the other boy. Sitting down by the edge of the sand, he took a fistful of the grainy substance, watching it slowly trickle from his hand.

Grinning, he pulled his stuffed centaur closer to him as he shuffled farther into the sand, the knees of his jeans getting coated with a fine dusting of sand. Waving at the other boy with one of his meaty hands, he sat down near him, letting out a little coo of greeting.

Turning back towards the sandcastles, his blue eyes scanned them curiously. Setting Firenze down, he steered the centaur towards the closest of them, gurgling to himself.

Roar was suddenly forgotten in the face of real people. His hand going limp and then dropping the dragon completely as he pushed himself up onto his feet and shakily made the two or three steps it took on the soft surface and plopping down besides the boy. His wide blue eyes blinked with curiosity as he analysed this creature that appeared to be just like him.

Adrian had encountered many things in his life, many people. But all of them seemed to be taller than him, bigger than him... older than him if Adrian had gained the concept of that word. But this person seemed to be just like him, and that amused him greatly. Pushing forward onto his knees he reached out one little hand and poked the other boy the the cheek, grinning and giggling at the reaction that that gave.

"Play." He announced, wiggling in his seat, and glancing at the other boy, "Play! Play? Ww-we-we-" his structured sentences reverted into babble again and only one word could be picked out by adult ears, "play!"

His attention was quickly diverted from the sandcastles and the centaur currently exploring them up to the other boy. His hair reminded him of him of his mother's, Theran noted. It was the same colour: brown.

Though he spent much of his time around other children his age, it was mostly his sister. It was almost strange for the blond to see another boy his age. Tilting his head, he stared back at the boy.

Blinking at the sudden touch, he frowned slightly, rubbing at his cheek for a moment with his free hand. Glancing back at the giggling boy, his expression cleared, and he erupted into giggles before he poked the boy back.

Grinning widely at the other child's words, he shuffled closer to him, nodding his agreement. There was nothing better than playing.

Adrian blinked his giggles dying for only half a moment as his poking gesture was returned back. It took him only half a second to begin to giggle with the other boy. This was fun he decided; Adrian liked other children. Reaching his other hand he pocked back again, this time on the arm, before he got distracted by the centaur that the other boy have. Frowning he reached out and pocked it too.

"Ho'sey man." He announced with a grin before a frown crossed his face, and he looked around with wide eyes. Where had his own toy gone. The small boys lower lip began to quiver as he continued to look and came up empty handed. He was on the verge of letting out a whimper when he spotted the red creature back where he originally was. Rolling over he crawled back, picking up Roar before making his way back to his new friend.

Picking up is toy like a prize he waved it in the other boy's face, "Roar! Roar!" Waving it around for a moment he snuggled it close, and then held it out, petting it slightly and nodding that the other boy should do the same.

He liked the boy, Theran quickly decided. He was different than Pepper, but not in a bad way. He was fun to play with. Continuing to giggle as he was poked again, he reached out to poke again, only stopping when Firenze was poked.

Glancing down at his centaur, he grinned toothily, cuddling the stuffed animal to his chest. Nodding in agreement with the boy's words, he glanced up at him curiously, watching him leave.

For a moment, his expression fell, and he simply turned back to the sand, clutching Firenze closer. His fingers swirling through the sand, he hummed softly, wishing that Pepper was here. She wouldn't ever leave him. Glancing back up at the sound of the sound redistributing itself, he grinned brightly as his friend returned. Turning his grin to the red dragon in his hands, he reached out and ran a hand across its soft material before holding Firenze out, grinning brightly.

Walking the stuffed animal across the sand for a moment, the centaur jumped up towards the dragon, waving an arm in hello.

Adrian's pudgy child hand patted the boy when he sat back down. His face looked sad. Adrian didn't know why he was sad - he was sad sometimes, but only when Ma or Dad weren't around. He didn't like when people he liked left. Maybe the boy had thought he wasn't coming back?

"Stay." Adrian announced, patting the boy again. Although his pats were a lot more like hits. He hadn't entirely learned the art of controlling actions to such an extent. In a way he didn't know his own strength - even as weak as it was.

Letting out a giggle, Adrian waved Roar likewise. After reaching out to pat the centaur again, he began to chance after the Centaur with Raor, giggling when he finally caught up and bumped them against each other. This was fun. He did not understand why he didn't do it more often.

Theran grinned slightly at the unexpected pat, reaching out to copy the action. He was glad that he had come back. Even when he was lone, he wasn't really alone, not when he knew that his family and the goblins were always around.

Nodding at his words, he shuffled closer to him, though he flinched slightly as the force behind the pats increased. Poking the other boy, he gave his head a small shake. He patted him again, but this time it was much softer. Nodding again, he smiled toothily.

Giggling as he and Firenze found themselves chased, he steered the centaur away from the dragon, though he was eventually caught. Giggling louder, he bumped Roar back before the centaur took off again.
