He ignored her, grabbing her hands instead. It wasn't entirely an intimate act, or if it turned out that way that was hardly his intention. The shaking had merely distracted him so that he felt he had to do something. Holding them up in the air he continued to watch the shaking for however long it continued to last. A frown appearing on his face.

"Exactly. So don't pass out or there will be no one hear to drag your body back to the car. We play by pirate rules matey," he smirked at her slightly folding on of her hand in his own, almost as if he was trying to suffocate out the shaking, though he wasn't really thinking about the action at all, "Those who get behind, are left behind."

Glancing over at the man getting their information he cocked his head to the side, "Can I hit him in the back of the head with his gun when he's done? I'd shoot him, but too much noise, messy too. Concussions would make me feel better I suppose."

He finally dropped her hand and rolled his shoulders.

"You should also try to relax. Deep breaths, helps with shock I hear. So does warmth but I don't have a blanket, and I hardly think you'd want me to hug you even if I was offering."

She swallowed slightly, distracted as her hands were caught in his. His attention might have been on her hands, but her focus was on his face, the emotions his expression brought to her wasn't making much sense. She tried to breathe evenly, but his scent was distracting as well. Warmth, he said. But didn't he know she was done with warmth? That she was done with anything that had to do with heat? She'd rather be trapped in a block of ice than accept the chance to be warmed by fire.

But that wasn't what Liks was saying was it?

Slowly, the trembling slowed, her focus on the hand trapped in his unwavering until his hand dropped. Her own hand dropped like a marionette without a tether, swinging to a stop only after it had hit her leg. Slowly, her gaze moved back up to his face, gaze searching for something she knew she wouldn't find.

"Then leave me." Her words were odd, weirdly shaped in her mouth, falling from her lips as if they could not contain them. "As long as you have the hard drive, it doesn't matter." She watched him walk away from her, standing as if she didn't know what to do with herself. Her eyes flashed darker briefly and something changed, her spine straightened, and she seemed to collect herself.

"I'm not in shock." She said, and this time it sounded believable. Something in her expression became confused, and her next words were softer, almost inaudible. "You wouldn't give me a hug if I asked for one." Then she was business-like again, as if she hadn't said anything at all.

"When he's finished, do what you like. If it makes you feel better to beat his head in, do so." Her words were easy, even as she came back to his side, the guard having turned toward her with his dialated pupils of adoration and told her he was finished.

"Take the hard drive as far as it can go, which should be outside, and I'll pull the plug." She gave him a smile - genuine if not a bit forced - and shrugged. "See you on the other side."

His gaze stayed on the girl for a long moment as he took the hard drive in his hands, playing with it slowly as the room seemed to still entirely. The bumbling idiot was still there of course, but he was irrelevant to everything about this moment, Felik's life, and he was inclined to say any life at all. He was more likely than not one of those men who beyond this incident would have lived a perhaps contently life, happy, but doing nothing of note - never the hero, never the winner.

    Never. Never. Never.

"You wouldn't know how to ask for a hug," Feliks didn't understand why he found his feet walking back towards her, instead of away from her to the door and where he was supposed to be going. He supposed they thought they were gaining something from this action, but he didn't understand it. This desire to comfort - that was what he was doing, wasn't it? Or was he being selfish? If this had something to do with his own wants, he didn't understand what want it was - was unusual to him, foreign and almost uncomfortable. The sooner he had done it, had moved out of this odd situation, the better as far as he could feel. "Any more than I know how to give one."

If he didn't know how to give a hug, then why did he suddenly find his arms around her now? It was a stiff, awkward hug, fleeting, yet when he went to pull away he found himself lingering slightly. Why was he suddenly so interested in the way she smelled.

Pulling back the odd expression that had been on his face was there for a breath only and then he had his usual expression on his face, hard drive held in the air, "I'll see you at home Tyurma."

Picking up the gun in a fluid movement, he did as he promised on the way out, dropping it once more beside the limp form of the man who had once wielded it, and then he was off disappearing down the hall, back the way they had come.

Before Pleasure, Business - Page 2 Empty Re: Before Pleasure, Business

Post by Karmzy Fri Jan 25, 2013 12:52 am

She watched him only long enough to be sure that he had the hard drive before turning back to the monitors, counting the men they had on duty. As to be expected, most were patrolling the area closest to the vault, half way around the building. It would take time for them to get from there to here, and that’s what they were planning on; out before the arrival of reinforcements, slipping through the net with as little complications as possible, and only leaving thirty or so guards unconscious in the end. It was a good plan.

Karma paused, head canting to the side slightly as she half turned back toward him, watching his approach warily. Her reactions weren’t making sense again, her heart had no reason to be acting as if she had run a marathon, and surely there wasn’t an oxygen deficiency in the room- her lungs were just…

The breath she took was slow, filling her lungs with the familiar scent that had always just been Feliks. It didn’t make sense that he was doing exactly what his words had said he wouldn’t. It didn’t make sense that in some way her not being able to ask was enough for him to answer. It didn’t make sense that he’d wrapped his arms around her and hugged her at all. But as her arms wrapped around his middle and her fingers tangled in his shirt, it didn’t matter. It didn’t matter that the hug was awkward. It didn’t matter that he was tense as a bow. It didn’t matter that he pulled away almost immediately. It didn’t make sense that she’d relaxed into him and closed her eyes briefly.

    It didn’t have to.

She was suddenly irrevocably terrified that she wouldn’t be able to let go.

“Sooner than that, hopefully.” She teased, letting him pull away as if it were the easiest thing in the world. A shy grin was all she offered before she was turning back toward the monitors, recounting, eyes flicking from screen to screen as she counted mentally. The moment he passed the threshold of the room, she tugged the chord to free the hard drive, bracing as an alarm split the silence. The gate crashed downward, leaving her with no form of escape, but that could be rectified momentarily. Quickly, she typed in the six passcodes from the file, murmuring the random mess of numbers and latin until the computer told her that the memory was cleared.

    This, however, was not enough.

Ducking beneath the desk, she tugged each console from its spot, throwing them against the wall so they shattered, and then taking a gun and shooting each directly in the middle for good measure.

You could never be too careful with technology.

Licking her lips, she turned back toward the doorway, gauging the thickness of the titanium before running at it. At the last moment she turned, slamming her shoulder against the metal with as much force as she could.

Her shoulder screamed in pain, but she repeated the action, each time getting the dent just that much more pronounced. By her estimation Liks should be in the elevator by now, but she didn’t glance behind her at the monitors to see if this was so, those cameras had been compromised in any case.

On the seventh time, arm hanging limply and shoulder aptly numb, she burst through the metal, rolling with the impact and gritting her teeth as she landed on the shoulder she’d been using. There was the brief pause of hesitation as her senses reasserted themselves, recognizing the sound of pounding boots from both directions along with the farther off ding of the elevator.

    That was her cue.

Springing to her feet, she sped down the hallway, only running faster as her stocking-ed feet slid across the polished floor, narrowly missing a fallen body. She stepped easily over the rest of them, swinging around another corner as the sound of a bullet hitting the wall behind her reached her ears, followed by at least six others.

Suddenly glad that the elevator doors were closing before her, she slid along the ground, slipping between the doors as they slid shut, and tumbling – with quite the ungraceful landing - into the small space until her back ended up against the wall. Blinking, her focus over to the wall, looking up at the man she found standing there.

    “Hey.”

Feliks walked with a slow but steady pace. It wasn't rushed, nor was it elaborately weakened. He simply walked as if he owned the place, slipping into the elevator, leaning against the wall. The hard drive had already been stuffed into his pocket, completely invisible.

Now all he had to do was-

He found his arms reaching out to catch the girl, bring her up to her feet and away from the wall as she slid through the closing doors. Why the heck did he care so much? He needed to stop being so squishy - it wasn't his imagine. It wasn't-

Karma stood with his help, shaking her head as she reached across him to press the button for the bottom floor. She glanced down at her feet, frowning down at their heel-less state. She'd left them somewhere, hadn't she? Shit.

Her lips curled up into a smirk, head tilting to the side slightly as she ignored the part of her asking a simple question. "You're right, I'll start expecting it." She gave a grin, then glanced at the doorway, her lips falling into a slight frown. "They're moving to cut us off." She observed, glancing upward as the lights showed that they were moving closer and closer to their destination. Biting her lower lip, she frowned slightly, glancing from him to the lights again.

Her face fell, and she took a half step back, glancing up at the lights again, then at the ceiling panel. "There's no way out." She murmured. This had always been the sketchier part of the plan, there was never a way out, exactly. They were to slip under the watch of the guards by any means necessary, get out, and get the hard drive to the drop off point. That was the plan.

How to get out of the place had never been...

    Never been...

Right. They could get out of this. It would be easy. They could just... just...

She looked up at him again, bottom lip slipping from between her teeth as she met his eyes. "Any ideas?"

Feliks glanced at the door, down at Karma and then back again. His expression was unreadable as his brain began to work through his thoughts, piece together the fragments of a plan, of an idea that were moving around in her head.

"Well," slowly his hand crawled up from where it was resting against her arm and settling more firmly on the small of her back, pushing her towards him and closing the gap that was between them, "now that you mention it, I do have one."

Without any preamble or explanation for what he's thinking, about to do, Feliks took another step forward, and then pressed his lips against hers. With a confidence that Feliks did absolutely everything - his brain for the most part had shut off, he wasn't attempting to think about what he was doing, but instead doing it - Feliks began to slowly but forcefully deepen the kiss as the elevator began to slow, and the little ding announcing that they had arrived rung through the space.

Still Feliks did not stop. In fact, there could be an argument that right at the moment that he perhaps should have pulled away - at the moment his brain reactivated and the thought bounced through his brain - he pulled her even closer, deepening the action even further. Of course, that was just one argument. Feliks wouldn't go with it.

This was just all part of their plan.

    Right?

She ignored - or at least tried to - the motion of him pulling her closer, more mesmerized by the thoughts flashing across his face. His expression was odd, he was thinking, and perhaps a plan was forming, but-

"You do?" Her gaze was hopeful as she attempted to focus on this face, and not the proximity that was slowly messing with her senses. His scent was- was- familiar. Yes, she could think that. Familiar.

"What's the-" Then her lips was otherwise occupied, and she was melting into his touch without her mind's permission. She took a few backwards steps hastily, tugging him with her and otherwise pinning himself against the wall. Her lips were still moving against his, even as he deepened it... and deepened it further... and soon she didn't know which way was up and which way was the doorway.

She could hear their footsteps as the guards got closer, then the snort and the disappearance of such sounds. Radio static, and silence. But these sounds weren't processing in her brain, and neither was anything. He tasted... delicious, addicting... distracting. She barely noticed her legs wrap around his waist, or her arms wind around his neck. She didn't know what she was doing. There was a sliding sound, a click, but that wasn't making any sense either. Nothing was.

    But that... didn't matter.

Feliks smirked slightly against her lips, he was sure it was because his heard the guards walk away. It was because his plan was working and had nothing to do with what was going on in the elevator.

Still, even as he heard him walk away, he wasn't pulling himself back. He wasn't concluding their plan as they should. He didn't want to seem too fake, that was it. If they left too soon, they will look suspicious. One never could be too careful. Running his hand along her spine, he continued his careful exploration of her mouth for only a moment longer, before he pulled away with a long breath. Brushing his lips lightly against the skin, hovering by her ear, as his eyes glanced at the closed door.

"I think we missed our floor."

Her reactions were timed perfectly to the situation; anyone watching would of course give her performance nothing short of an Oscar. That was the truth of the matter. The half smirk that pulled at her lips in an automatic mirror of his own was almost too good to be true. The shiver that was her response to his touch down her spine was perfectly timed. Her hold on him tightening ever so slightly as her back arched away from his touch and pushed her into him, which was applause worthy enough on its own. That gasp she gave as he pulled away; totally planned. Her body shifting slightly against his in displeasure as he pulled away, that was some realistic acting. Even the small sound she made as his lips traced up her jawline to her ear was planned.

It was almost like she was reacting to the real thing in real time.

Even if all those thoughts weren’t exactly true, at least her tilting her head slightly away from him was to let her see around him to the door, not to give him more access, and definitely not to bear her neck. That would be-

Karma fervently ignored both the bad idea taking over her mind and the emotions pooling in her stomach. She was female, of course she was expected to react like this. It was all in the plan… the plan…

And extending the plan to after the door closed was- genius, quite frankly. Who was to say there weren’t cameras they’d missed in the elevator?

She gave a soft laugh that was more like a giggle, along with a shrug that only succeeded in sliding the straps of her dress further down from where they’d slid in their wearer’s heated… err… act. The sound was more like laughter than any other sound of pleasure, but only slightly, as the proximity of his lips to her neck became more pronounced.

“I’m starting to see the ingenuity you have hidden inside you somewhere.” She swallowed slightly, eyes glancing to the side to look at him, even though all she could see was his profile. “Now we can leave whenever we want.”

“At least the elevator isn’t-“ There was a jolt, one that sent her further back into the wall, and him with her, as the contraption they were in began to ascend back upward. “…moving….” She breathed, glancing upward at the lights in the ceiling as the contraption continued its slow way up.

He snorted, glancing at the raising numbers, before tilting his head back at the girl for a moment, "You were saying?" His lips, as close as they were brushed and teased her skin.

Feliks wasn't really sure what he was doing. He supposed his brain had gone on autopilot. He was merely playing the role that they were set up to play. Who knew who would come out at the other side of the elevator.

He bent his head ever so slightly - he didn't notice how close he was getting to her neck, he really didn't.

"I suppose, we don't really need this little charade do we?"

Her breathing did not hitch. It didn't. She was just... waiting for a hiccup. Yeah, that was... almost believable. Almost. She swallowed again, eyes fluttering closed as she shook her head. "Knew I'd jinx it." She murmured, the volume of her voice dropping considerably. "Should just learn to keep my mouth shut."

Her breathing didn't hitch this time, which she was grateful for, instead it left her all at once. She squirmed slightly, brushing against him accidentally as she did so. No matter how she moved, she didn't bring her neck closer to his mouth, but she didn't move it any further away either.

"S-suppose not." She breathed, voice thicker than when she had first spoken. It was getting progressively harder to think. Perhaps a little distance between them wouldn't be the worst idea in the world, though her jumbled thoughts couldn't decide if movement in either direction was smart. She didn't want him to move closer, she didn't think, but she was sure that moving away wouldn't do anything for her either.

She swallowed thickly, squirming again, but doing nothing more than that. "Liks..." She whined slightly, voice oddly changed, but with what she refused to recognize.

"Uh-uh," Feliks breathed, his breath hot and heavy on the skin that his lips were just hovering above, close enough that they could be felt, just a shadow of a touch, a shadow of a kiss.

Feliks felt like he was playing a game, the same sort of game he'd play with anyone, the only thing was that he felt like this was the type of game that he couldn't lose. It was an odd feeling he didn't often associate with such things - usually it was trivial fluff to pass the time, no meaning at all, win or lose it was just a game.

Then again, this wasn't even supposed to be a game, it was a ploy. That had to be it - he was thinking about their way out. If they didn't do this right then it would be more than something petty that they would lose.

"Tyurma," he whispered voice low and husky as he lower his lips, just barely making contact with the skin when the elevator stopped, a bounce and then a ding.

The doors were sliding open again.

    What was that?

The sound that came from her lips pulled her up short. It was distracting enough to derail the pleasure that automatically spread from where his lips brushed her skin. Her breathing hitched, head falling back against the wall as her eyes closed.

She was almost lost, until the slight giggle of another 'guest' and her owner stepped in, and she froze. A flush spread across her cheeks, and she made to slide away from the boy against her slightly, though she wished she didn't have to.

"Rico..." She swallowed, eyes lowering to the ground as her demeanor changed to submissive, the act snapping into place as she finally knew what to do with her body. Finally understood how she was allowed to be acting.

It would have been a relief if a part of her didn't feel disappointed.

Clearing his throat, Feliks didn't really bother to hide the almost cocky expression that was flooding across his face. It hadn't really started out as cocky, it was almost more... more...

Feliks didn't have a word for what it was. But at the interruption, confident seemed to be the way that he should go. He dragged her slightly behind him, the action looking rougher than it was - his brain flashing almost like this was an excuse to touch her, but that hardly made sense - before he gave the man from earlier a nod of acknowledgement.

Leaning over his hand hovered over the directional buttons, "Up or down?"

    Spoiler:

“Down.” The man’s voice washed over her, even as his eyes did, causing her blush to only darken. Her fingers trembled as she tugged the strap closest to him back onto her shoulder. Dark brown eyes stayed safely on the ground between her feet, though she glanced up at the other man occasionally. Luckily, he seemed to amused – she hoped for his sake that was amusement on his face – to be worried about her seeming disrespectful.

“The floor above the party, actually.” The man continued, gaze flicking to Feliks as she shrank into his shadow, unconsciously evading Liks’s touch. “You probably weren’t told, but there are rooms for this kind of thing. We keep them all in a- more appropriate environment.” If it was possible for her blush to get any darker than it would, but rather than do that, her gaze went to the other woman present, wondering what she’d find there.

The redhead from earlier met her eyes, but what was there brought Karma pause. There was no quiet obedience, only anger. Only hate. Alarm spread through her, but she kept her expression embarrassed, as well as confused.

The redhead winked, reaching behind her almost innocently.

    Karma didn’t think, she moved.

    Three things happened at once.

The first was the hint of metal as the redhead shifted her weight, the movement fast enough that anyone not looking directly at her would have missed it for what it was, a weapon in an enclosed space. The second was a tug, pulling Liks out of the girl’s sights and against her as the gun the redhead had pulled from the depths of her dress placed a bullet where he’d been standing. The third was the other man, shouting and in a sudden burst of bravery leaping at her, only to gain a bullet to the stomach.

    Silence.

Karma, forcing herself to be calm and breathe evenly, looked down at the redhead now pinned beneath the slowly dying man she had come to hate. Her hold on the boy against her tightened and an anger quite unlike any she’d known before darkened her expression.

    “Kitty!”

The disgust she felt only heightened with the sound of her “name”. Where had the woman even gotten a gun? Did she plan to just walk into the room and slaughter every male there, in the hopes he was as bad as her own was? Her hold on Feliks loosened, then slipped away as if it had never been there, though her gaze on the other woman didn’t falter.

Their eyes locked, the girl’s pupils slowly spreading until only a ring of bright blue iris was left of what used to be her iris. Karma’s voice was calm, quiet, softly musing and almost soothing.

    “You almost killed him.”

The usual look of onyx pleasant obedience vanished in the wake of fear, which quickly turned to terror, then pain. The girl went rigid, then began struggling, silent sobs that gave way to a soft, haunting wailing the only sound that could be heard. Karma’s expression had disappeared, all emotions having slid from her face at the mention of her name. She would not go home and tell her son that his father would not be returning. She would not take the hard drive from him and leave his body as a casualty, as was the policy. She would not-

She would not be alone again.

"Well," Feliks's gaze on the man hardened slightly as he noticed the expression on the his face. Still he managed to keep his voice even, almost dis interested, "Isn't that conve-"

It happened quickly enough that his gaze only managed to register the outcome. He heard the weapon being drawn, moments after Karma had, but by that time - for him at least, at human pace - there had been little he could do for himself. Pulled out of the way, and staring at the man that now was dying on the ground, the boy felt shaken. Not much shook Feliks Chmerkovskiy, but in that moment not even he could completely cover his paled complexion and pounding heart.

A face had flashed through his mind, wailing in his ears - cries he wouldn't have been able to sooth - and a pair of hands, paint pressed against the wall appeared to him - a promise he suddenly wouldn't have been able to keep.

Grabbing her arm, his grip firm though hopefully not painful, he gave Karma a firm shake, gritting his teeth for a moment before he spoke in a low but commanding voice, "Stop it, Tyurma. We're just making a bigger mess - wasting more of our time." Someone was sure to have heard the shot, and would come out of curiosity, and Feliks had been robbed of any amusement for this evening out.

He just wanted to finish this and go home. He wanted to go back to his son.

Her eyes went from the girl's to Liks's, their power only simmering for an instant before she blinked it away, shaking her head. "Sorry." The word was a murmur, and almost instantaneously it was like the energy drained from her body. She wavered only slightly before she shook her head again, wiping her arm across her eyes briefly and nodding. "Right."

Blatantly ignoring the smell of blood filling the elevator, she stepped passed him, slipping her hand into his and squeezing slightly as her eyes tracked the lights on their way down to level two. The doors slid open as she watched, giving the view of the empty hallway. There were doors discreetly placed on either side, with a soft looking rug running along the length of it.

"We'll have to go here." She murmured, nodding. "It will buy us time." She moved without focusing on what had happened, the scent of blood wafting after her and making her pupils dialate further. Swallowing slightly, she continued to lead the way to the staircase, pushing the door open and stepping onto the landing.

"Should have an exit at the bottom." She murmured, pausing as she pressed her palms to her eyes. Her voice shrunk, and she shook her head. "Are you alright?" She asked quietly, trying to think away the headache developing behind her eyes.

He glanced down at the hand for half a second, eyes lingering before he was looking back up, stepping over the man on the floor and following her. Feliks didn't even notice that he squeezed back in response. Could he even remember the last time he held someone's hand? Had he ever?

Breathing slowly, he walked down the halls, murmuring in the response for slightly, glancing back at her, looking for the reaction of before.

Rolling his shoulders he gave a crocked little grin, "Course I am. Do you really think a bullet can stop me, Tyurma?"

“Course not.” Something was wrong with her voice. One hand moved from her eyes to her hair, tugging out the pin in an attempt to ease her steadily growing headache. She was oblivious to the way her hair cascaded down from its perch, curly and her own again, instead focused on the slight ease it gave to her pain. She bit her bottom lip as her eyes flickered open, but she barely spared a moment to glance at him before she was in motion again, keeping her gaze on their goal. Her other hand was, to her surprise, still in his, but she stopped thinking of that immediately.

Stocking clad feet moving easily over the cement blocks that made up the back staircase, Karma’s expression remained blank, if not a bit tired. She couldn’t wait to get home and curl up in bed, suddenly. Her pace sped up a small bit before she came to a stop just before the exit door. Dark brown eyes scanned the door for any sort of alarms and the like, even as her thoughts swirled around their escape route, plans, and other such things.

Staring at the door, she shook her head. “We’re parked on the other side of the lot.” She murmured, frowning at the inconvenience. “You should be able to make it without being seen by more than the valet.” Her tongue found its way across her bottom lip, and a sudden surge of clarity made her eyes widen.

    Oh.

Her hand slipped out of his. “You go ahead, and I’ll follow.” Her voice was still distant, still emotionless, and her gaze didn’t go anywhere near his, or even in his direction.

His hand felt oddly... cold with the absences of hers. It was a silly thing to remark upon. This night had simply become... he didn't even know what it had become, but it was not what it had started out to be, and the last thing he wanted was for it to keep going. Feliks had a child and a bed - a home - that was calling for him. He was more than willing to take any move he could to get himself closer to that.

Nodding his head silently, hesitating for a moment. Feliks took a half sort of move forward, looking like he was leaning towards her before he stopped. Freezing, he shook his head, a minute action that looked like nothing more than a twitch, and then he turned and did as she mentioned. He disappeared silently into the darkness without another word.

Sliding into the drivers seat of his car with relief, he took a deep breath, feeling the firm steering wheel under his hand before he started the car.

The pause she gave was brief, a slow sort of tension stopping all movement before she turned to him, watching the expression flit across his face.

    He was gone.

There was an eerie sort of relaxation that hit her, and then she was in motion as well, the expression on her face scary at best. The valet from before went first. He was there one moment, gone the next, picked up and carried at vampiric speed away from his post. There was brief moment, on the side of the vast building, where he had the ability to see the beautiful place of his abductor, and then her mouth was on his neck, and he lost all ability to talk. The next day, he would swear he had been dragged behind the building to have an amazing make out session, but the others would tell him that the mark on his neck was not a hickey, but an actual bite mark.

Her smile was easy as she slipped into the car, resting her feet up on the dashboard and leaning back. Her eyes swept him before smiling and relaxing.

"Missed this car." She sighed happily, closing her eyes. "Is that a harddrive in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"

The vehicle was in motion before she was even properly seated. The feeling Feliks felt seeing that place in his rear-view mirror was one that he couldn't have waited any longer to experience. Reaching a hand out, he flicked the radio on, letting the soft sound of music fill the space.

"Don't flatter yourself Tyurma," he smirked over at her, facial expression the same as it always was though the look behind his eyes slightly different. Slightly off, affected. "I'm just happy to see the car." He winked, before turning back to the road, "Nothing like horsepower to get my motor going.:

Humming along to the song that was playing, Feliks let some of the tension in his shoulders relax, and he drove down the street, carefully taking them to their destination as if they were nothing more than what they appeared - a couple coming back from a date.

"Sure you are." She leaned her head back, letting the seat go back a little and giving a low happy sound. She crossed her legs at the ankles, smiling. She slid down in the seat a bit, fingers trailing along the leather of the side of the seat.

"I like the way the engine purrs." She murmured, a smirk stealing over her scarlet painted lips. The color had smeared a bit, but she wasn't thinking about why right now. "That's the real reason I bought it." She hummed slightly before waving her hand toward the exit coming up on her side of the hallway. "Drop off's that way, I think."

Rolling his eyes he just kept his gaze on the road - only sneaking glances back at the other girl for a few moments out of every minute. He was just making sure she was alright. That was it - if something happened to her then Adrian would freak, and he'd have to deal with that. He was just being a good father; no one could blame even the school bully for wanting to do that right?

Letting out a soft grunt in response to her words he turned the car in the direction she had pointed, having already been heading that way to begin with.

"And here I thought you bought the car, because you cared about me."

His fingers tapped out the beat against the steering wheel as they turned onto a side road, his eyes remained intent on the dark surroundings, looking for landmarks as he slowed the car to a more modest speed.
