Here I Am Once Again Empty Here I Am Once Again

Looking around the clearing, observing, debating whether or not she should do what she wanted to do. As her gold coloured eyes looked around the trees and the rest of the forest, Scarlett came to the conclusion that since there was next to no one there, she could what she planned.

Smiling to herself, she quickly pulled off her new shoes, rolled her black capris up higher so that she had the ability to move better, and took off across the clearing.

Laughing as she ran, smiling at the feeling of the dirt beneath her feet, she looked ahead of her at a tree, a big, extremely tall tree.

Stopping abruptly, she looked up, cracking her neck slightly as she did so, and wondered if she could do it. Scarlett nodded to herself, and then hooked her hands around the trunk of the tree, and pulled herself up, higher and higher.

She had climbed trees before, so this wasn't new to her, but this tree was certainly larger in width than most trees she had climbed previously.

As she climbed, she laughed, ignoring the little scratches she was getting from the little branches that stuck out like tiny little knives.

Also, as the young, soon to be third year Ravenclaw climbed, she was very unaware that there was in fact one person around to watch as she attempted to climb the large tree.

If she had known, she might not have ran across the dirt clearing, and climbed in the first place. Yet, she didn't know that there was another person standing there, so she continued on with her 'quest' so to speak of climbing the tree.

Robin was feeling... like a daredevil that day. Granted, what she thought was 'badass' was to sneak out of the house and climb a tree in the forest clearing. But she sneaked out, so that must be something...

Honestly, she was hoping ti be alone, because she was self-conscious that her family might show up, but she wasn't exactly scared of what seemed to be a thirteen year old girl climbing up a tree. But, really, who would? The girl seemed happy, care-free, not as though she would do something to harm her.

She had the weird urge to climb the tree, make her presence known, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. The Hufflepuff was too shy for such things. Maybe that was why she was the second Potter in history to not be in Gryffindor, along with her great uncle Albus Potter. Robin always admired her great uncle Al, because he went against traditions and became a Slytherin, yet still managed to keep the Potter pride bright.

She broke out of her trance and turned her attention back to the person climbing the tree. A cough escaped her lips without her permission, making her presence known. Her face darkened into what seemed like a ripe strawberry colour. She glued her eyes to the ground and twiddled her thumbs awkwardly.

"Er... hello," she murmured, her voice barely audible. "I-I'm Robin. R-Robin Potter."

When did she get so shy?

Scarlett hadn't heard the small cough that came from the girl's lips, but she did hear the girl speak. Stopping suddenly, she turned her head a little, so that she could have a better view of the one speaking.

When she saw a young girl, maybe in her third year, or soon to be fourth, Scarlett imagined, she smiled down at her. Scarlett no longer cared that there was someone standing there, watching her, she liked talking to people, especially people she had never met before.

Slowly, and carefully, Scarlett began to crawl back down the tree, being careful not to rip her new capris. When her feet hit the rought dirt ground, she quickly ran her fingers through her side bangs, and fixed the rest of her clothing so she would look at least presentable.

She turned around then, and quickly skipped over to the girl, who had announced herself as Robin Potter. Potter...Scarlett knew the name. Was she related to Harry Potter?

She had to be, with a last name like that. Excitement bubbled up inside the young Ravenclaw as she stopped in front of Robin and smiled at her. "I'm Scarlett Moore." she said brightly, ignoring the slight blush of nercousness in the girl's cheeks.

Bouncing slightly on the tips of her bare toes, Scarlett was dying to ask the question about Robin's last name, but wasn't sure how to put it. "Are you related to Harry Potter? THE Harry Potter?" she practically blurted out.

She didn't mean for it to come out so abruptly, but she had to ask. Even if Robin had said no, Scarlett would still have wanted to be her friend, if Robin was up to it.

"Don't worry, I would still want to know you, even if you weren't. I am just curious to know." she said giving her an apologetic smile.

The blush on her face darkened when the girl, Scarlett Moore, came down to her level. Robin found herself physically unable to blush anymore.

"Y-yes. Harry Potter was my great granddad," she confirmed, a small smile on her face, "My parents married quite young..."

She fixed her eyes on her feet and twiddled her thumbs, not wanting to see the judging stare she often got from people, because she was a Potter. Potters were supposed to be strong, powerful. They weren't supposed to be Hufflepuffs that were nervous about talking to someone who seemed to be younger than them. It just didn't work.

Her gaze snapped up to the girl once she stated that she still wanted to get to know her, even after she made a mess of things already. "Y-you do?" She squeaked in surprise, her eyebrows shooting up quickly. A little shy grin etched onto her face and she stuck her hand out for her, waiting for her to shake it. "Nice to meet you."

She paused, her hand shaking, unsure if she'll take her hand and shake it or simply ignore her. It wasn't something she wasn't used to, because after learning how clumsy and nervous she was, they'd tell her they weren't interested in being her friend.

It was times like these when she wished to know what others were thinking. Did she... want to be her friend? Or did she just pity her? Because she didn't want to be friends with someone who pitied her. It just wasn't something to do, because if they weren't interested in you in some way, what was the point of the friendship in the first place?

Robin just hoped that Scarlett didn't only pity her.

Scarlett could have practically bounced off the walls in excitement. She had always wanted to meet a Potter, it was a dream of hers in a way. However, Robin seemed nervous, as though being a Potter was...not a bad thing, but...well she couldn't seem to think of the right word.

Either way, Scarlett's eyes twinkled with curiousity about the girl before her. Taking her hand, ignoring the shaking, she grinned broadly and shook it. "I do. It's nice to meet you too, Robin." she said.

In honesty she wanted to know more about Robin, but not because she was a Potter, but because she seemed like a nice enough girl to get to know better, and being Scarlett, she loved to get to know people.

The Ravenclaw couldn't help but laugh a little at how Robin squeaked before. It wasn't a rude, hateful laugh, made for causing people to feel bad, it was an honest sort of...giggle.

"You ok?" she asked, taking notice then of Robin's nervous look.
