A new home

J. J. bounded down into the commonroom excited to explore her new surrondings. She never thought she could feel so at home somewhere that wasn't her home.
She had never left it before now.
But Hogwarts just felt so... right. She loved it there.
J. J. stopped just inside of the common room. It was empty. She hesitated for a moment. What was she to do now?
At home she was use to having one of her siblings in her space at some time, and she had thought it would be worse here.
And yet now she was left in the big room all on her own.
Tentively, she approached a chair by the fire, suddenly feeling like she might be encroaching on someone else's territory.
With a nervous look over her shoulder, she settled herself into the chair.
It was so comfortable, and the heat from the fire was soothing.
Soon, without meaning to, she was fast asleep.

Seth made his way to his "new" home for the first time that day. He was so happy to be starting a school that had other people like him. He wouldn't be alone anymore. Even though his brother was a wizard like him there was always something there something intangible that kept them apart in terms of a brotherly relationship. He figured it had to do with their differing views on how muggles should be treated but after being tormented by them all these years he just had no forgiveness left in him for them.

As he bounded down the stairs mumbling to himself he noticed that it was quiet in the common-room. There must not be anyone else there he thought to himself. As he entered the common-room though he found that to not be true. There was another Hufflepuff, a girl no less asleep in a chair. Not wanting to disturb her for fear of waking her and not knowing what to do he quietly laid his things down by another chair as far away from the girl as he could sat down and started to read a book he had. With the peace and quiet it was not long before he started to nod off and soon enough was asleep as well.

J. J. jolted awake, confused and disoriented. Her dream, nightmare really, still hovered around her. She felt shaky and nervous. She couldn't quite remember where she was.
All of a sudden she noticed a small dark shadow moving towards her. Suddenly her nerves were on high alert. She froze to the chair; what should she do? She didn't actually know any magic yet.
The small shadow lunged forward.
J. J. screamed.
It meowed.
Her small grey cat, Iggy, climbed up the chair, and curled himself onto her lap, completely unperturbed by what had just past.
J. J. on the other hand blushed a deep scarlet. She had just been frightened by her own cat. She hoped that the common room was still empty so no one witnessed that. She was too embarrassed to look around to make sure.
