Having a Blast (Dom and Nova)

Dom walked in and he looked around the bar, it was pretty empty but it was more than satisfactory for him to drink alone in after all it wasn't so bad trying to get wasted on your own and then go into the club bit and try to get some success with girls.

He never seemed to get ones that liked him for him, just his money.

Sighing he placed his money on the bar and ordered a double whiskey on the rocks, not bothered about the change as he sipped on the drink, shuddering at the burning sensation.

Nova was talking to the bartender, ordering another fruit cocktail. She was focusing on some random spot on the bartenders back when she noticed a figure sitting near her.

Dom saw that there was a lady on the opposite side of him and he wondered if he should go to talk to her, was it going to be a mistake? He hoped not. But maybe it would stop him being so bored, it would definately stop him being alone.

"Uh hey there."

He waved stupidly at her.

Nova kind of blushed. The guy was cute, little bit shy, or so he seemed.
She replied him with a polite Hey! and blushed again.

He didn't know why but he seemed to loose all control of himself when he was around girls, it was just like he acted like a complete utter nerd and it wasn't working for him so far, bit it got worse when he tried to be tough.

Shed spoken to him, that was good, and he smiled shyly at her.

"I'm Dom, Dom Cromwell, and you are?"

"Nova Doherty", she responded with more confidence.
She checked him out, singing in her head some Jessie J song.
Her drink was here and she stood up.
"Want to join me at my table", she asked, "My friend just bailed on me so..."
She couldn't believe she just said that. Maybe it was from the firewhisky she with Amy before. Maybe she was just growing some balls.

Nodding as Nova told him her name, it was a pretty name and he wondered why she was here all alone but he soon got the answer to his question, it was pretty harsh.

"She left you all alone, rotten man...but sure I'd like to join you."

Moving over to the table that she indicated Dom took a seat and finished his drink with a gasp as it burnt his throat.

"Don't worry darlin' I wont bail on you."

She didn't worry at all. He looked her age, and like he would never harm her so she was calm.
Besides, she had her wand in her pocket.
"So, what are you doing here?", she asked.

Smiling softly at Nova Dom shrugged his shoulders looking around at the every filling room, looked like the food her wasn't that bad after all.

"I'm here to get a drink maybe meet some new people."

Signalling for the waiter to come over he nodded his head at Nova:

"And you?"

"I was a winggirl for my friend, but she left with this guy", she started with a grin. "She is a good person and all, but sometimes she just isn't smart. I mean, I would never do that kind of thing, especially with a person I don't even now."
