About a Letter (Sacha)

Alexa waited In her Office for the High Master to come down. She didn't like the look of the Letter that was sent to one of her students.

Sacha made his way down to the first floor, electing to walk to his Transfiguration professor's office. Being Highmaster, he could have apparated, but he often walked when he could. He preferred it, really.

Coming to a stop outside his destination, the man knock on the door, waiting to be beckoned inside.

Alexa was reading the letter again until there was a knock at the door. She knew who it was.

"Come in!" She said loudly so Sacha could hear. She waited until the door opened. She sat behind her desk with the letter in hand.

Sacha entered the office, moving inside and quietly shutting the door behind him.

"You wished to speak with me, Professor?" he stated needlessly, gray gaze undoubtedly taking in all the minute details of the scene before him. "What is it I can do for you?"

"Highmaster!" Alexa said as she stood up and bowed. She went around her desk.

"One of my first year students got a letter this morning. Cicely Coal came up to me and handed me this!" Alexa handed the letter/ note to Sacha.

years have I slumbered,
Awaiting my time,
Cold, silent stone,
Waiting to arise.

I am here,
Freed by those who have called me forth.
I have awaken,
And now, shall my purpose be served.

"I thought it was the Crow whom might of sent it, but I don't know." Alexa said to Sacha.

Sacha took the note, gaze running over it. He handed it back.

"The words refer to the Crow," he stated. "But, for one, I am assured by the headmaster of Hogwarts that it has been decommissioned, and secondly, I highly doubt it knows how to write. It doesn't even have a full vocabulary. The Crow... is a construct - a guardian that was created by several of Hogwarts' founders. A couple of students inadvertently woke it, which lead to our recent troubles with it kidnapping children. Quite fortuitously, it was programmed to answer to Hogwarts' headmaster.

"If Miss Coal received this letter this morning, it most certainly did not come from the Crow." Grey eyes regarded her seriously. "Which, naturally, suggests some sort of prank."

"I think you maybe right Sacha." Alexa said with a small laugh. Her face suddenly turned worried about what she was going to say.

"Amusing if said letter was a prank, the girl was quite shaken up. There's also something else that's been really bothering me about her. I know its an awfull thing to say, but I think she comes from a abusive home Sacha. She has the signs of abuse. I know the signs of it, trust me I do!" She said as she looked at the Highmaster.

Sacha let out a soft exhale. "Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised," he stated honestly. "An inordinate number of our students come from abusive households. Unfortunately, our hands are tied unless said students can be compelled to talk.

"Get the girl to admit what it is happening, and then it can be investigated. Only then, can alternative placement be sought for her." His tone was nearly detached, clinical, but his eyes belied the lack of caring in his voice. The mistreatment of children was something that bothered him greatly; the flash of anger in his grey eyes spoke clearly of this.

"I know what it's like." Alexa said quitely. Her mother was noe behind bars for life and she wouldn't be able to touch Alexa again.

"I will help her and try get the girl to talk. It will be hard though. Are you Alright Sacha?" Alexa asked with concern.

Sacha nodded. "Do so," he encouraged. The man gave her a reassuring smile. "I'm quite alright. See what you can do for Miss Coal. If there is nothing else?"

"I will do everything I can for her and other students. Theres nothing else unless you wanted something or wanted to talk about Sacha?" Alexa questioned him.

"Not at all," Sacha replied pleasantly. "I do need to be going, however. I've a wedding to plan for, this weekend.

"Good day, Alexa." Without further explanation, he left the office with a brief wave.

"Bye Sacha, see you around!" Alexa said when he left her office. She better go have a chat with Miss Coal. Better summon her with a letter.
