If the situation calls for it, she will put on a dress, and dress up, but although she looks good in it, she just doesn't feel comfortable.

Personality: Ashleen is energetic, and outwardly mischievious. She is impulsive, and enjoys having a good time and doing what she wishes. She doesn't really like to be told what to do, but has learned - for the most part - to learn to do so anyways. She has a short fuse and her temper can be set of very easily (A trait she had inherited from her father). In recent months (ie. since her partner was sent back to Russia) her temper has been even short than usual. However she is loyal and protective of those she sees as 'hers'.


Inwardly, Ash actually keeps a lot of fears, and issues locked up. She resents her father for raising her in the mob, and actually has a rather bitter out look on the world that she attempts to keep from spreading to other people. She wants to feel happy-go-lucky, but she just doesn't know if she can anymore.

Overall history:
D'Angelos have had a member in the mob since there was one. Due to this long standing loyality their place is high up. There are always consiquences to rewards though. Due to their history it is expected that there will always be a D'Angelo heir to take the currents place when their time is done.

Typically, this heir is expected to be a male, so it seemed that Ashleen was going to be spared from the role, and her brother Jake would be raised to take her father's place. When Ashleen was six however, on the way home from a family outing to the beach their car crashed into a van; Ash was the only survivor - Her father had not gone on the trip.

Faced with the sudden removal of his heir, Phillippe was forced to train Ashleen in Jake's place. At first the whole thing seemed like great fun to the girl, but eventually she got older and slowly started to understand what exactly it meant to live this life, and slowly little knots of resentment towards her father for dragging her in unasked.

When Papa sent the Benepartes to America bring along Tre, she didn't at first notice the boy who didn't seem to speak much, she was busy enjoying pretending she had a normal life outside of the safe house. When he was assigned to be her partner however, she started taking more notice of him, until slowly through step by step she allowed herself to befriend and trust him until she couldn't imagine a world without him.


Papa however had other plans, and sent word that Tre was to go back to Russia. Ash didn't take the news well, and she spent her time away from the boy creating a reputation for having a bad temper, and not taking anything from anyone. Still she got her jobs done, and after a year was 'rewarded' by being sent to Russia herself. Although she is exstatic to be with Tre again, Ash just can't help feeling that everything will fall apart again sooner or later. After all, nothing had stopped it from doing that every time she felt happy before.

While out on a mission, she had the misfortune of wandering off at an inopportune time. She was surrounded by a group of men, and attacked. They were very close to raping her, however, Tre managed to find her intime. From that point on, Ash developed an issue with people touching her, and became hyper dependant on Tre.


With some guidence from Papa, and complete trust in Tre, see appeared to slowly get better. However, after a missforunate Practical in OWLs that brought old memories to the surface, combinde with just the general stress of OWLs and school, she slipped back into her strees. Not allowing anyone to know the stress that was going on in her head, Ashleen slipped to a point of dispear that no one could fix. She pulled herself away from Tre, and in a moment of panic, slapped him when he tried to touch her.

In return, he disappeared. She melted down, reaching a point lower than she was before. She hid in her room, and hid from everyone else. She shut down, and blocked everyone out, attempting to act as if nothing could hurt her, when in fact she was dying on the inside.
