Personality:
Most people don't really notice, but Dani is actually a rather tolerant person due to her time at the orphanage. More likely than not, Dani will forgive you even after a huge mistake - but not without her conditions. She is also really good at compromising with people so that she gets what she wants and the other person does as well. She adores reading, which is why she knows a wide variety of trivia. She is also protective of her family - particularly her brother Ray - and if someone insults them, it won't be pretty.

However, most people can't ignore the fact that Dani is rather insensitive to other people's emotions. Sure, she would notice them, but she wouldn't do anything about it. This is coping mechanism for the girl and her traumatized childhood memories of being mocked and mimicked. She also dislikes sports, and that has made her have a rather frail figure and sometimes she's scared that her spine will break. She also has a fiery temper, often snapping at the smallest things.

Overall history:
Dani was born in Lamoureux Manor during the wee hours of the morning. Her mother had been through thirteen hours of labour before she was born. She had weighed five pounds and six ounces during the time of her birth. However, a tragedy struck when the second Lamoureux daughter was born: Mrs. Lamoureux was dead due to the loss of too much blood during labour. Worried, one of the midwives sent baby Danielle - who had been named by then - to an orphanage in Paris in the hopes that her father will believe the ruse that she died along with her mother. That did not happen.

Meanwhile, young Dani ended up living a very different childhood to what Lamoureuxes usually had. She had to grow up faster as she had to learn to be tolerant, to share, to give. However, she also had to learn to wear an indifferent mask to the children's bullying of her as she doesn't know who she really is and where she came from, whereas most of them did. She kept hoping that one day, someone will adopt her and swoop her away.

One day before her sixth birthday, Dani started doing some strange things. She can make things float in the air, dead flowers come back to life, and pens write themselves on paper. People already labelled her as 'weird', so when her first signs of magic came she became even more disliked than she already was. In an attempt to heal herself, Dani stopped being timid and scared, not to mention indifferent. She started to reinvent herself as if she was someone from a higher class, like a princess. Instead of embracing her magic and putting two and two together that she came from a magical family, she was ashamed of having magic in her veins.

By the time she was approaching her eleventh birthday, Dani had lost all hope of being adopted and she had resigned to the fact that she was spending the rest of her life without a family. With her peers bullying her constantly for her magic, she only retorted by warning them that she might use her magic to maim them and saying that she will get them back one day. Meanwhile, she continued to dream of being in a house with long, flowing dresses at her disposal.

Little did she know her dreams were real. One summer day, a man arrived at the orphanage. He told the owner the Lamoureuxes have found their daughter and they wanted her back. When Dani found out about these events, she was elated. She immediately packed her bags an left her life in the orphanage forever.

Now that her life in the orphanage is over, and she's slowly getting use to living with her blood family, Dani could finally attend Beauxbatons, a school for magical people like her. She expected herself to be sorted into Angelique like her father and her sister, but she wasn't. She was sorted into Prideux instead. However, she's happy with her house and she's making the best of it.

Now in her fifth year at Beauxbatons, Dani has high expectations for the future. Of course, not everything will go according to plan...
