Personality: Anna, as a child up to the middle of her second year, was a chirpy young girl who was interested in everything. She was always happy to make new friends, keen to listen and eager to forgive. She was also easy to bond with. She was enthusiastic, and albeit her sheer determination and competitiveness, she was a good person to be around.

Since then, however, Anna has grown into a more bitter person. It may be because of her allegiance to Maius Bonum, but it may also be because of the dramatic events that have happened to her and her family are finally starting to take a dramatic toll on her. As of her third year, Anna has started drinking firewhiskey regularly and hanging out at a nightclub regularly to stop thinking about her troubles. She has also started to rapidly shut down to the emotion of fear.

Anna is now a lot less open about her feelings, and now tends to be a lot colder to others than she did before. She is pessimistic, snarky, sarcastic, and overall, not the best person to be around with. She is easily jealous of others and does not feel much compassion or sympathy towards anyone she doesn't consider important. Her morals are starting to dissolve. Her flair for elegance is starting to emerge, now acting and looking very posh most of the time.

Beneath her icy exterior, however, is a girl few will ever see. A part of her that died during the Easter. It is the part of her that does feel compassion and sympathy towards others. A part that once felt happiness now felt satisfaction. A part of her that could love, appreciate, empathize. A part of her that could cry streams of tears.

Thankfully, there are parts of her that haven't changed, but that can sometimes make her look like a bundle of contradictions. She is still curious and has a passion for knowledge, and she is still competitive over her grades, but it has become such a fanatical obsession it overpowers everything else if she's in the mood.

Since she started playing the piano, Anna has grown calmer, but her instincts are still heightened and she is still angry and everyone who abandoned her. Music is her new way of expressing herself, and instead of throwing daggers at people to vent her anger she has started making her own renditions of her favourite songs on the piano. She has started to consider music as a career, and now, she is doing everything in her power to make sure that she will come out of Hogwarts and know what she wants to do in life.

Father: Bertram Pius Tshering, 45, Former Embassy Worker turned entrepeneur, Pureblood; Anna and her father had always had a rocky relationship. It may be because Bertram had never been fond of Anna, and vice versa. Even though these two enjoy a mutual respect with each other, Bertram is secretly proud of his daughter for being the way she is today.
Mother: Alice Cassandra MacAllister-Tshering, 44, former Wizarding Naturalist, Halfblood, Living; Anna and her mother were particularly close when they were both eccentric and cheerful people. After Anna's first year, however, these two began to drift apart because of Anna's changing beliefs, and they drifted apart even further when Alice remarried. Even though Anna may not love her mother as much as she did, she is still very protective of her and will fight for her to the death.

    Overall history:
Annabeth Elspeth Tshering was born in Thimphu, Bhutan on the 18th of July 2007, during her parents' honeymoon. She was born in a monastery at about one o'clock in the afternoon. She was named Annabeth after a name her mother had been pining for for years, and Elspeth was a name her father had liked. For the first few months of her life, Anna stayed in a cottage in one of the remotest countries in the entire world.

Six months after her birth, Anna moved from cold, quiet Bhutan to cold, noisy London, England. She lived in a lucurious mansion Bertram had inherited. It was obvious from the beginning that her parents didn't get along, and she never knew why. (But neither did they, so that was some relief.) She watched them argue every night and used to beg for them to stop fighting by pulling on her father's leg, and he would shove or kick her off. She would then resort to shutting her ears and eyes or rolling up into a ball in a corner of a room. She would cry for most of the night sometimes and she was a sleep deprived baby.

At the firm age of five, Anna watched her parents get divorced. Her eccentric but endearing mother got custody of her, and the young girl was secretly euphoric about not having to see her father anymore, but she didn't tell her mother that, of course. Alice MacAllister owned a small rustic apartment with lots of antique wooden furniture and a cozy little fireplace, and that's where Anna and Alice would spend their days if they were not travelling to Paris or Milan or New York or Helsinki where Alice did lots of research on plants. It more than made up for Anna's cheerless and loveless childhood.

Anna's first sign of magic was at the age of eight. When she was bored one spring day, she decided to bounce a ball around the house. She bounced it from the living room to the kitchen to her bedroom. In her mother's bedroom, she knocked over a glass vase containing a striped carnation. And it didn't break. And the flower, upon Anna's touch, turned into a bright yellow sunflower. Anna was glad about this and immediately called her mother from work to show what she had done. The two were so ecstatic about this they bought a gigantic telly they weren't exactly sure would fit onto their wall, and thankfully, it did.

Anna received her Hogwarts letter when she was eating a fruit salad when her mother was home. She was extremely excited and with her mother, decided to go on one last hop to Ireland. They went to places all over the country: starting in Dublin and ending in Galway. They explored the Wizarding and the Muggle parts of each place they went to. Anna often thinks of those times when she's alone at night.

When Anna was shopping for her textbooks in Flourish and Blotts, she bumped into another girl around her age. The girl was named Natalia Finnigan, or Nat for short. She and Anna became firm friends over a cup of ice-cream and exchanged addresses. They became best friends over the rest of the summer, with Anna's jovial, accepting personality blending well with Nat's wit and loyalty. On the train to Hogwarts, they became best friends with another girl: Danielle de la Fontaine, or as they fondly called her, Dani. They were sorted into different houses: Anna in Ravenclaw, Dani in Hufflepuff, and Nat in Gryffindor. They often switched between tables during meals so they could always eat with each other.

Anna's first year was satisfying. Even though she mostly hung around Dani and Nat, they became 'honourary sisters'. They went to the Room of Requirement for the first time during Halloween, and that's where they spent most of their time. They often went people watching when they went to Hogsmeade. While Dani and Nat developed schoolgirl crushes on some of the older boys, Anna stayed skeptical and wondered to herself on what happened in her brains.

When Anna got to King's Cross at the end of her First Year, she expected to see her mother there, her arms wide open. However, she was picked up by her father's bodyguards and was brought to his mansion in the outskirts of London, and most of the decorations were still intact from Anna and Alice's time there. Anna spent most of her time in her room and tried to rebel more than a few times, and once, Bertram dared to beat her after he thought she ahd gone too far. At the same time, Anna heard her father talk about the Dark Arts a lot, which made her ever the more curiouser about them.

Besides the awkward events of the summer, Anna made her way through most of her second year alright. She did more than average in most of her classes and made more of an effort to make new friends. She quickly noticed that Nat and Dani didn't come back to Hogwarts on the train with her and she was scared if anything had happened to them. Nat came back rather late, but Dani disappeared. The two of them didn't think too much of it. Soon after, Anna met Oliver Penderghast, another Ravenclaw a year above her. She developed feelings for him, though it was only a schoolgirl crush. Those feelings quickly disappeared when she didn't see him around anymore. However, he came back a year later, and they are now very good friends.

The Easter holidays were a hard time for Anna. While she and Nat were visiting their friend Dani - who had transferred to Beauxbatons - in the middle of the French countryside, they were playing in one of the lakes. The three of them were having a diving contest. It was Nat's turn, and Anna had told her to be careful. The problem was, Nat couldn't swim. She didn't listen to Anna's screams and she slowly started to suffocate. Anna tried to save her, but she couldn't reach her in time. Dani and Anna lost touch after Nat's funeral, and she doesn't talk or speak about her anymore.

Somewhere during the summer, Anna found out her parents got remarried. They had a second honeymoon travelling all over Europe: to Ibiza and to Paris and then back home to Asia, with Anna tugging along. She didn't have too much fun until they got back to Bertram's mansion in London, where Anna was shocked to have all of her things stored there already in her new, spacious bedroom.

During the same summer, Anna's parents bought her a piano as a late birthday present. She was particularly happy about this and even though she was (and still is) mad about them getting remarried, she now took most of her frustrations out on her piano. She taught herself to play the instrument through a book of classical pieces her father had with some help with some help from her mother, who is now a full-time socialite. She is now trying to perfect the Hungarian Dance.

This Christmas, Anna has written to her parents about having her own place since she doesn't feel comfortable in their house anymore. Her request is accepted, and starting this Christmas, she will live in her own apartment instead of the Tshering Manor in her parents. Her new house is in the Muggle London area named West End, and Anna lives off the money her parents send her every month, which is quite a lot. As she adjusts to living on her own, Anna will learn a lot about herself and will become a lot stronger as a person.
