The Sleep Walker (open)

It was in the middle of the night, well past curfew. Charlotte was fast asleep, tears pouring down her face as she was dreaming.

"Lillian? Lillian? I'm here, wake up. Please wake up." Lillian's cold form lay or her bed in St Mungos. "You can't leave me.... I love you..."

Charlotte still fast asleep wearing her soft cotton PJ's, both a dark blue, with Golden Snitches flying around the fabric. Her slippers were pulled on her feet and she instinctively slipped her wand in her pocket, before leaving the Slytherin Girls Dorm. There was no one in the Common Room or along the hall as she walked out of the Dungeon. Through the Entrance Hall and out the main doors. Once at the lake side her deep had progressed on to another scene.

Charlotte sat crying in the room she had shared with her twin. Holding onto a teddy bear as she screamed. a deathly, chilling scream. "LILLIAN!" the room around her had burst into flames, as the Six year old did magic for the first time.

Running up the stairs into the young girl's room came an elderly lady who quickly put out the fire and righted the room before comforting the young Charlotte.

Charlotte kept walking in circles near the lake as tears slipped down her cheeks while she slept walked.

Diane sat by the lake with her little telescope in her hands. The telescope was given to her by her mom when she was still five years old and was had a 'zooming charm' of some sort.

She was supposed to go to the roof but she feared heights so much so she goes to the lake to have a good view of her favorite star.. Sirius A

She then heard soft footsteps.
"Oh no," she mumbled. It was past curfew and she knew she wasn't to be there. She hid her telescope and tried to hide behind a tree.
But.. she only saw a girl, sobbing and crying as she walked around the lake. She seemed not to know where she was... As if.. she was... under a spell...

She approached the girl and tried to stop her from walking.
"Uuumm.. hey there.." she said. But, the girl seemed not to hear her.
"Uuumm.. hello?? hi there..."

Charlotte was wearing nothing to indicate her house, and she kept walking in circles. Her body racking out sobs. As she kept on sleeping, in her rather deep sleep.

Diane tried to shake the girl. "Uuumm.. Hey...."

Charlotte wakes, not even looking at the girl, she hugs her. Crying out her tears from her horrible nightmare.

Diane just stood there.. As the girl hugged her.. still sobbing.
"Don't cry," she said, hugging her back. She then remembered her deceased cousin. And it just made her tear up. "Don't cry"

Lillian... she left me... she left me... Charlotte sobbed not knowing how to communicate with the girl she was clinging to. If only the girl could read minds. maybe she could?

Lillian... My twin... shes gone....

Diane broke away from the hug and wiped her tears.
"Wh-why are you crying?" she asked.

Nightmare... I had a nightmare. The young Mute screamed in her mind hoping the girl would understand. Her tears slowing to sobs.

(OOC: YOU'RE MUTE?!?)

Diane looked at the girl. She had something inside her she wanted to say.. But.. she won't say it.
"Why won't you speak?" she asked.

Kathy noticed that Dane wasn't in bed anymore so she followed some voices down the lake.
"Oh i hope it isn't troubles she's into" Kathy said with a worried voice noticing it was past their curfew
"Oh my!" Kathy exclaimed as she saw a girl wrapped on D's arms "D, What happened?"
" Are you alright? Is there something we could do?" Kathy said as she faced the girl who was in tears.
Kathy's first thought was to bring her to the head of her house but she was clueless what house she is in.

I can't talk... I can't talk.... I had a nightmare... Nightmare... Why can't anyone ever understand me... I can't talk...

The young girl tries hard not to burst into tears again looking at both Gryffindors.

"D, i think she's trying to tell us something" Kathy said as she put her hand on D's shoulder.

"What? " Kathy asked as she was trying to figure out what was going on about this girl.

Try to think of a way to communicate with the two she curses herself for not learning Muggle Sign language. the idea pops into her head.

Using her hands she points to herself then shakes her hand and makes a chatter sign. ((Much like the sign you'd see people use in the chicken dance)) She repetes it, trying to say she can't talk.

Please understand me...

Diane looked at the girl and faced Kathy again.
"Kath.. I-I think she.. I-I think she can't talk," she said, hoping that the girl really CAN talk.

Nods her head. Yes she'd right i can't talk....

Repetes the I No Talk, signing.

Diane looked at the poor girl. Why can't she talk?
Just then.. Diane remembered her star map.
"You stay here, okay?" she said to the girl and ran to her telescope.

She opened the lid on the side of the scope and took out a parchment of paper and a quill. Good thing she had her star map, huh? Well.. it's not of great use, really.. It's actually just... USELESS.. It didn't even have writings in it.
"Why didn't I write stuff in this??" Diane asked herself.
"Maybe I should just-" Just then, she remembered the girl. "Oh.. right.. of course.. Maybe later"

She ran towards them and showed them the paper and the quill.
"Here!" she shouted. "Write it here!"

Charlotte took the quill and parchment writing down a few lines.

'My name is Charlotte, I'm a first year Slytherin.
I Don't Speak. I haven't spoken since i was six. I've forgotten how.
I had a nightmare, when I have nightmares i sleepwalk.
Where am I?'

Diane read the girl's neat hand-writing. Cool.. she might not be able to talk but she writes GOOD.. really good

"Charlotte?" she said. "You're Charlotte.. Right?"
"You're in the lake.. The Enchanted lake," she explained.
"And.. umm.. How did you forget your ability to speak?" she asked.

It was already late at night, but Zayden was still wide-awake. It seems like she was troubled about something. She tried to shrug it off, but whenever she tries to forget all about it, it bothers her even more.

Moments later, the situation appears to be getting more worse and it gave her a headache, so she hopped off her bed, put on her robe, and walked slowly to the other side of the room. Not thinking that it was past curfew. While wandering in the halls, she felt a cold cold wind tickle her neck. She ran. "C'mon Zay, Just CHILL.", she said, mumbling to herself. She continued to walk and thought of going to the lake and so she did. As she was strolling down the place, she saw three girls. She quickly hid behind a boulder and peeked over.

Hey, that's DI, Kathy and.... Oh, I'm sure I've seen the other girl before. Oh yeah, Herbology Class.

Zayden quickly went over but as she was getting closer, she heard a wee cry. Hearing this, it made her run.

She looked at Diane and Kathy and said cheerfully, "Hey guys. Guess I wasn't the only one awake, huh?"

She then turned to the familiar sweet girl but suddenly, Zayden's cheerful smile, turned to a worried face when she saw the girl sobbing.

Taking the parchment again she wrote her reply.

'I don't know how I forgot how to talk.
It was so long ago. I don't really wish to talk about it.
I had just lost my twin and then lost my voice.
Now I don't talk.'

Looks to the new arrival, another Gryffindor. These Gryffindors don't seem to like sleeping much. where have I seen her from before?

"Oh sorry," Diane said, knowing that the girl lost a family member.. Very.. Dear to her...
"So.. uummm.. how about we try to get your voice back?" Diane said, sitting down by the lake.. Trying to make a happy atmosphere.

Taking the parchment back.

'I don't know if I can.
I've seen healers. No one has been able to help me.
My nightmare. It scares me.'

Looking at the parchment, written with fascinating penmanship by dear Charlotte, Zayden swiftly hugged her and said," It's okay Charlotte. I'm sure we'll think of something. Do you always have these nightmares every night?"

Taking the parchment again.

'Not every night.
First time in several months.'
