Firelight

The flames danced merrily within their stone prison, leaping, lunging, crackling, churning. Aria crouched before them, watching intently. They were beautiful; they always had been.

Reaching forward, the blonde put her hand into the fire. She didn't so much flinch, turning her hand about within the flames, fingers splayed. They did not burn her.

Aria withdrew her hand a moment, a group of flames held within her palm. She blew softly on them, watching them dance all the more. The girl smiled, the light reflecting in her crimson eyes.

She abruptly made a fist, extinguish the fire she held. Turning towards the source of the sound, Aria arched a pale brow. "Difficulty sleeping?" she asked.
