Moments in Time (Open)

Tobi walked to the Clock Tower courtyard to enjoy the beautiful weather. He found a bench under one of the trees and sat there.

Such a beautiful day, he thought, Nice breeze, cool air. What more could you ask for on a day like this?

Lucy jogged into the courtyard, trying to keep the smile from her face. She had spotted the hufflepuff while she was walking down, and, being in the mood for a water fight on such a nice day, had decided that he was a good person to start one with.

She approached carefully, ducking behind one of the pillars around the courtyard so that she was out of view. It didn't look like he was looking in her direction, so slowly she made her way forward, bringing the water balloon in front of her as she went.

"Heads up!" she called out, just as she threw the balloon.

J. J. was walking about the yard. She was still getting use to Hogwarts, enjoying the feeling of discovering new places.
She walked into the courtyard and looked up at the tall clock.
Clock towers always fascinated her. There was just something about the large marker of time, it made her feel...
Alive.
As she walked into the courtyard she noticed a older Hufflepuff boy sitting on a bench. He looked familiar to her...
He was the boy in her History of Magic class, the shy one who had sat in the back... well the only one to be perfectly honest.
Feeling oddly brave she approached the bench, getting ready to call out a greeting when all of a sudden a balloon came out of no where bursting onto the boy drenching him in water.
"Oh my gosh," J. J. rushed forward, "Are you okay?"
As she approached the boy, she noticed a girl, older also and in Gryffindor, hiding just behind him. Obviously she was the one that through the balloon.
J. J. was surprised as giggle escaped from her lips.
"Sorry," she laughed some more, "It's not funny I suppose, really, are you alright?"

Lucy was now doubled over laughing, unable to contain it. She was sure any second the boy would turn around and soak her, or the girl that had just arrived, but for now all she could do was laugh. The water balloon shouldn't have hurt him that much, besides, he didn't look like a wimp.

Between fits of laughter she managed to gasp out, "I'm Lucy, by the way. And right now, you look very wet." she continued laughing, probably making her speech a little hard to understand.

Tobi sat there enjoying the day when he heard a girl yell out "Heads up." The next thing he knew he felt like a drowned rat and no doubt looked it as well.

He turned around as another girl asked it he was Okay. "Well I was until someone decided to use me as target practice!"

"Well I just don't know what to do with you too! Maybe. Yes that should do the trick."

Accio Water Balloons! he said and then he had a ton of water balloons. "Wanna take me on now girls?"

Lucy grinned, at least he was taking it well. She accioed some water balloons herself and took aim.

"Well get ready to be even more wet then you are now!" she smirked as she threw the balloon.

J. J. smiled good naturedly as the boy waved his wand and his arms were suddenly full with water balloons, lots and lots of water balloons.
She bit her lip, maybe it was a mistake to come over here, she probably just signed her death warrent... or well you know... wet warrent?
The girl, who had called herself Lucy, did the same thing with her wand and more balloons showed up in her arms. She threw a balloon at the boy again.
J. J. smiled, but then looked around helplessly. She had no idea how to use that spell. She was a first year who could at present only light up her wand and turn a match into a needle.
She briefly thought about mimicking their actions, but more likely than not the spell wouldn't work and she'd embarrass herself.
No, she was left with watching, and hoping not to get wet.

Tobi watched as the other girl did the same thing he did and conjured up some water balloons as well.

He saw the other girl that had arrived standing there with apprehension of what she should do.

"Hey" he called out to the girl ",You have 3 choices in this matter. 1 you can join your fellow Hufflepuff in this battle. 2 you can choose the like-wised gender for it. The final choice is to stay out of it but don't think you won't get hit!" he laughed.

"Choice is up to you but better make it a smart and short one!"

"Hold your fire!" Alicia called, peering out from around the clock tower. "Civilian passing through," she said, shrugging her bag into a better position on her shoulder. She'd been watching the fight for a minute or two, long enough for her to feel like a bit of a creeper, and for her to figure out the best way to cross the watery battlefield.

J. J. laughed self-consciously. Well she certainly wasn't going to just stand by and get wet without putting up a fight.
"Well, what kind of Hufflepuff would I be if I fought against my own house," she smiled at the other boy and sifted slightly away from Lucy since she had actively claimed to go against her in this, "Though you should be warned that I am not very skilled magically... and my brothers always use to wipe my behind in any water fight."
At that moment another girl called out for the fight to halt so she could get past completely dry. Being unarmed, J. J. stepped back without any trouble, but she wondered briefly whether she will be so lucky with the others.

Ethan had just walked into the Clock courtyard when he heard a girl from Hufflepuff claim she was joining the Hufflepuff side.

Seeing that the other girl who he noticed was a Gryffindor was by herself he decided to got over and ask her, "Would you care to have someone help you?" he ask cordially hoping she would say yes.

Lucy put on a false pout when the hufflepuffs joined. But it was all in good fun, and she was beaming again within seconds. She held her fire as the other hufflepuff spoke though, unsure if she wanted to pelt another innocent civilian. She didn't back down, but she didn't throw the balloon either.

As the other boy came up to her she grinned; she recognized him vaguely and thought he had to be in her year. "Yes, absolutely," she paused, "We can take these hufflepuffs."

"Yes I am most sure we can. The first thing to do is hit the stray Huffie," Ethan said as he picked up one of the water balloons and threw it at the girl who told everyone to stop.

"Let's see what happens now!" he said gleefully.

Lucy was beaming from ear to ear, finally, she thought to herself, someone else who likes a little mischief. She stood poised to throw a balloon at any one of the hufflepuffs, but waited to see what the other girl's reaction was first.

J. J. jumped back with a squeal of surprise as the new boy, and older Ravenclaw who had joined forces with Lucy, threw a balloon at the girl who was trying to get across the courtyard.
She bit her lip to keep back a giggle, as she moved further away from the other two. So far she was the only Hufflepuff left dry, and she was still without ammo.
She hoped that the other two won't notice this fact, until the ammo aspect was changed.

Tobi watched as a Ravenclaw he didn't know conversed with the Gryffindor he didn't know. The next thing he knew the Raven boy was throwing a water balloon at ALicia.

Wow, Tobi thought, that kid is just asking for it!

Tobi told Alicia and the girl he didn't know to come over and get some balloons.

Tobi wound his arm up and threw it at the Raven boy. "How do you like that?!" he said laughing.

J. J. didn't have to wait to be told twice. She wasn't going to stand around unprotected any more while water balloons were being thrown. No way Jose.
She hid a smile while the boy - who although she had decided to a-line herself him with in the `war` she still didn`t know his name- threw a balloon at the Ravenclaw boy.
Well, J. J. thought as she picked up a few balloons in her arms, It`s just me and Lucy left dry.
With a determination that she wasn`t entirely sure she knew where it came from, she took the balloon, and aimed for the Gryffindor girl.

"Uh!"
Alicia froze, mouth open in shock as the balloon exploded, soaking her to the skin. Gritting her teeth, she turned to Ethan and raised an eyebrow. "Do you have a death wish?" she asked, mostly teasing as she stalked over to Tobi and siezed a waterballoon. "Because I'd be more than happy to help you achieve your goal"

Lucy gasped as JJ's water balloon soaked her, but she could only smile after the initial shock was over. Finally, something to cool her off on a warm day. Quickly realizing that she had yet to throw another water balloon, Lucy aimed one at JJ and then at Alicia, or whatever the other boy had called the other hufflepuff girl.

"Three to two," she muttered, "I like these odds."

J. J. squealed in surprise as the cold water struck her; she smiled down at her half soaked uniform. The fight was definitely on now and it was three to one them.
J. J. looked down at her balloon's and smiled once more, before launching them one right after the other at the two in front of her, not really giving another thought to what she was doing, or waiting to see if her balloon's hit their target before launching the next one.

Alicia half squealed, half laughed as Lucy's balloon exploded at her feet. The water was cold, and she made a mental promise to herself that she'd find a bench in the sun somewhere and lie down on it so that she could dry off. Of course, she still had Gryffindor and Ravenclaw butt to kick. 'Later,' she thought, throwing the balloon in her hand at Ethan and then ducking down to grab another balloon.

Ethan had been so distracted by the Hufflepuff girls reaction he didn't notice the Hufflepuff boy throw the balloon at him until it was too late. Now he was all soaking wet but then weren't they all he mused.

"Oh I like it a lot and just wait until I get more to throw," he said laughing, "you will be drowning in balloons!"

Karma wandered into the Clock Courtyard, looking at the sky, not really paying any attention to the students around her, and subconciously stepped over a puddle of water in her path.

That's odd she thought distantly. I don't remember it raining...

J. J. dove behind a bench, pausing a moment to take a breath. She had one balloon left in her hand. She wasn't sure how far the others were or how many balloons were left in general.
She had to use it wisely.
She heard footsteps just beyond her hidding spot. She smiled. She wasn't going to lose this... if you could lose a water fight.
Taking a deep breath, she jumped up.
"Take that you -" J. J. trailed off as she saw who her balloon was flying at. It wasn't anyone participating in the fight. It was Karma, who had just walked into the courtyard, "Oh my... Karma! Oops."
J. J. watched with a twinge of fear, and yet amusement (Even though Karma probably wasn't the tip to find this amusing) as the Balloon soared through the air, and wondered if her warning was going to reach it's targets ears too late.

Karma looked over at her name in time to see a water balloon fly at her and caught it with an ease that only came with playing Quidditch for years and threw it back in the same motion. Then she realized it was a waterballoon, and who she was throwing it at. "FIRSTIE~!!!!" Before she could stop herself, a giggle escaped her lips.

She sprinted for cover, ducking behind a pillar and finding herself next to a Gryffindor and a Ravenclaw. "Lovegood, Ravenclaw." She greeted. "Any more of those?" she said, clearly meaning the water balloons.
