The Magic of Change

Transfiguration, or as Beauxbatons called it, Metamorphic Studies, had always been one of Ondrea's favorite classes. In fact, she had always excelled at it. Considering her current condition, she couldn't help but find it rather ironic, now.

She entered the classroom. It hadn't really changed since she'd been in it two years before. Same desks, same walls. Ondrea wondered if it had the same teacher.

No matter.

Taking a seat, she pulled out her textbook, turning to a chapter she hadn't reviewed, yet.

Harmonie's dark eyes swept the Metamorphic Studies room and sighed, realising no one she usually talked to were in the room. She caught sight of that girl- what was her name?

Montgomery...Harm frowned, trying to recall her first name. Drea? Shrugging with one shoulder, she approached the other girl and smiled at her.

"Hello." she said simply, resting her wand and quill on her desk. "How were your holidays?"

Small talk was where she excelled in.

Mélodie walked into the class, quite calm for a change. Well, that was until she saw her sister. "Harmy!" she grinned and practically dived on the identical girl.

"Hello Ondrea," she said, highlighting what the other girls name was, as she knew her twin would have forgotten it. That was Lodie's strong point, knowing pretty much everything about her sister.

Ondrea looked up as another girl joined her. One of the de Venin twins, wasn't it? Which one was in Prideux, again? She always had gotten that confused.

"Hello," she replied with a small smile. "They were..." Disjointed images of mauling poor Ty three weeks prior flashed across her mind. "... uneventful, really. And yours? I heard Rousseau's party turned out to be rather... interesting."

She gave the second twin a polite smile, as well. It was the de Venins, at least. If only she could recall which was which. One of them, she used to share a house with*, but had it been Harmonie or Mélodie? As a first and second year, Ondrea had really been too withdrawn to take notice.



[*Ondrea was Valée her first and second year; she was re-sorted upon returning to Beauxbatons for the current year.]

Rora walked up to the Metamorphic Studies classroom. She grinned at the other two and greeted them in French, "Bonjour!" Then, mentally smacking herself for forgetting not everyone spoke French, she recovered. "I'm Rora."

Harm nodded thoughtfully. "I suppose it was. Love potion-" she raised an eyebrow at this- "usually does make things more interesting. But I left early, I wasn't feeling too good- I wasn't able to enjoy half the fun." she grinned cheekily.

Harmonie grinned up at her sister. Ondrea- that was it. Well, she was close enough. "Lodie!" she squealed, hugging the other girl tightly and kissing her quickly on the cheek. She waved at the other girl to join them, keeping an arm wrapped affectionately around her twin's shoulders.

Harmonie and Melodie. That's right...

"I'm sure it was a riot," Ondrea laughed. Love potion - always great for interesting times.

Her gaze moved to the newcomer. Considering the girl had felt the need to introduce herself, Ondrea decided that she wasn't just forgetting who she might be - she was most likely new.

"You don't have to speak in English," she stated dryly, sticking to French. "The transfer student from Hogwarts transferred from here, first.

"It's Ondrea." She extended her hand to Rora. "Pleasure to meet you."
