The Broca Divide || Year 3 Lesson 3

Kendera made her way out to where the Creatures of War class was being held. She hadn't actually taken the course before, but thought that it could be interesting. A nice change, in any case.

Frowning upon seeing that she was the first student to arrive, Kendera sighed and looked around. Did she even have classmates for this class?

Viola sat at the base of a tree, her attention caught in the book she was holding. Most of her classes so far- correction- all of her classes- had been empty and depressing. As a teacher, she was just coming to terms that she wasn't really needed in this school, despite her passion for her job.

When the girl appeared, Viola couldn't help but smile. "Welcome!" she cheered, "This is Creature of War! Now, tell me, what do you know about giants?"

Rose ran across the grounds before stumbling and falling near the feet of her professor. She huffed, got up and smiled apologetically at her. She got in time to hear the professor's question "A Giant is a very large hominid which can potentially grow to approximately twenty feet tall, and appear to be large Humans. Giants are not as intelligent as wizards and witches, but they have their own language, culture and societal structure. They are capable of learning English, and presumably other languages as well, and read. A Giant tribe is led by the strongest Giant, known as the Gurg."

Kendera had opened her mouth to answer when her classmate gracelessly made her appearance. She gritted her teeth in irritation, hair taking on a reddish. Typical Uchitel. Thinking they're the only ones with answers, she thought spitefully.

"Some believe that giants came first," she elaborated in a precocious tone, "that humans evolved from them. The muggles call them neanderthals. They are dangerously violent by nature, though not inherently evil."
