Midnight Munchies

Lainey had never really be much for food, in general, before she'd carelessly gotten pregnant. It wasn't that she had something against eating - she was well aware that she was far more often underweight than not. It was just simply one of those things she had a tendency to forget. Food was not that high up on her list of priorities.

Now, however, she was always hungry. Which was why she was currently sitting at the counter in the kitchen of the Leaky Cauldron in the small hours of the morning eating a concoction she had thrown together which tasted far better than it looked.

She had been staying in the magic inn and pub since Christmastime. (She still found it a bit disturbing that she could see it now that she was pregnant without leeching magic from someone.) Eli owned the place, though, it was no longer his primary job. He was magical cop or something. Lainey wasn't sure.

Taking a sip of juice (pumpkin juice, she thought it was), the woman gazed idly about the kitchen. Whoever Eli had on kitchen duty certainly kept the place cleaner than he had.
