Haunted? You can't be serious

Caleb wasn't scared of some little house that looked all ripped up and weird looking. Caleb walked into the shrieking shake, but he made sure to bring food because he was a guy and he needed to eat. Caleb walked to the top floor and laughed at the scene.

"Really" he mumbled. This place was a joke to him, it may have looked haunted but this place was far from being haunted. More like being laughed at was more like it. Caleb took a seat on an old couch and lifted his feet up on the table in front of him. He took out a bottle of fire whiskey and drank some. Man this was going to be a fun night.

Evangeline ran in the shrieking shack, trying not to cry. Everyone seemed to look at her weird or whisper behind her back for reasons she didn't know why. Had something serious happened in that year, that had made people hate her instead of not realise her existance?

She picked up a chair in pure anger and threw it into a wall, not even bothering to watch it break into hundreds of splinters.

Caleb heard crying and a lot of tears. Caleb grew confused and got up. He heard a chair break and he went down the stairs to see a girl there. Caleb saw she had a lot of tears coming down her face. "Are you okay" Caleb asked confused on to why the girl was crying. Caleb took notice that she looked about a year older maybe his age. He also had to admit she was pretty.
