Memories

Karma didn't like it. She didn't want it. Hell, she'd been avoiding it since it happened.

This was the sole reason Kama was here, sitting on the table of the kitchens, watching the house elves wander. She wouldn't let the fact that her other half was squirming as she summoned bother her. Karma was trying to persuade her that they really really really didn't need to do this, that it would be fine if they just ignored the mental connection they'd accidentally made, that- that-

Kama was ignoring her.

She was dressed in her usual pajamas, boy shorts and a tank top, her socked feet crossed at the ankles as she waited for the boy.

Karma was nearly panicking.

Kama was composed.

He had heard her through the night's silence. Any almost panic that seemed to spread to him, despite the fact he had nothing to worry about. He could just stay in his bed, trying to dream about times past. People lost.

But, that sleep never truly came. He was always aware, even when his eyes were closed in sleep.

Then the calling became more insistent. In one motion, he rolled of the bed and sped out the door, faster than humanly possible. He was there, next to her in a flash, unamused.

"What do you want?" he snarled. His outfit almost matched hers, expect for his boxer shorts, "If you're here to bite me, just do it already. I have better things to think about,"

Better people to think about.

Karma nearly recoiled, desperate to send him back to whereever the hell he'd been, but Kama was in control now, and Kama didn't care.

"Calm yourself, First One. Karma is not here to tempt you tonight." Kama purred softly. "She's off panicking somewhere. We need to talk." The young vampire looked down at her nails, eyeing the dirt she found under her fingernails and smirking when she recognized someone's blood. "You need to stop ignoring the bond, you know. It'll drive you insane."

Her dark brown eyes, darker than Karma's had ever been, flickered over to the boy, a prim eyebrow raised. "Further insane than you are now."

Rhys rolled his eyes at the girl. First One? What was he, some freak? The Welshman stepped forwards towards the vampire, his usually blue eyes now a dark, shining black. It had been a while since he had drunk anything and, at this moment, he was feeling crazy enough to have a bite.

"I can't get any more insane," he stated, resting a hand on her shoulder. He slowly moved towards her neck. Today, he was the dominate one. "You can't tell me what to do,"

"Never claimed to be able to do that." She purred, her eyes darkening in response to his. Kama eyed the boy up. Dispite whatever Karma wanted or claimed to be feeling, she had no doubt which of them was dominant at the moment.

And it wasn't who you'd expect.

She tilted her head slightly, both to eye him and to slightly open her neck to his veiw. "Do I taste different?" She asked curiously. "Then all the other humans and vampires you've drank from?"

The moment she moved her neck, Rhys' hands went to her chin and chest. In one movement, he moved on to the table and folded her across his lap with a dark growl. He didn't bother to look at her, his menacing gaze at the pulsing veins in her neck.

"Taste?" he snorted, "You think you're special? Well, listen." He bent over, slowly, teasingly, "You ain't special. Blood is blood,"

Then, with a flash of marbled teeth, he bit into her neck. It wasn't the soft, almost romantic bite from before, but a desperate, tearing one. He shook his head unintentionally, leaving a large hole for the blood to pool. He hadtaken too much, he knew, but, instead of stopping, he moved his hand to her face to let her feed.

Kama groaned slightly as she found herself in his lap, her eyes closing as he leaned toward her. "Good to know we're on the same page-" Her words disappeared on a moan as his teeth peirced her skin. The pain that came with it was nearly obliviated by the endorphins. Her fangs lengthened as her blood levels lowered, and it was almost instinctual when she bit down on his hand.

The rapid thoughts that flashed through the bond when they were both drinking nearly sent her reeling. She made a small sound and buried her teeth deeper, drinking in his blood to replace her own.

Flashes of her mind barreled into the Welshman's. Thoughts and feelings in an almost terrifying rush. his mind was slipping away from him at this point, bridging the connection between them. It was a feeling of being full and being hungry. Being wrong and right. Being Rhys and Karma.

He pulled away and stared at the ceiling, chin bloodied and wet. His eyes hadn't changed colors, but his body felt better than before.

"Get off, Karma," he spat, not even eyeing her as he pulled his hand away, "You've had enough,"

Kama's bite wound healed accordingly, even as he pulled his hand away. The immortal blood in her made her side more empowered, more in control. Karma was nothing but a whisper now, and a faint one at that. See how she liked being shoved away.

She shifted closer to the boy instinctively, licking the blood off his chin. She was still hungry. Her fingers curled into his tanktop, and then her mouth was at his neck, wanting to sink her teeth into him. For whatever reason... she didn't.

Rhys flinched at the feel of her tongue, reminded of the old times when the two were dating. He bent his head away from her, closing her neck from her touch. He hated himself for this. Karma has poisonous- parasitic. Anything that had to do with her was bad.

"Don't touch me," he growled, softly, almost sweetly, "You are a pig, don't touch me," He pulled away from her and stood, dumping her feet first on to the floor.
