Soothing the soul

Myles knew he shouldn't be drinking but he did not know what else to do lately. He just needed space from Jaz for a little bit but he knew he should go to her soon but he would wait until he was sober to do that. Now he heard that his sister was around and didn't want to run into her.

He sighed and ordered another and took a drag on a cigarette something he had started up he still had no idea why he did. But it felt that it was relaxed him. For some strange reason.

"Rough day?"

Ky sat beside the man at the bar, sounding lucid enough to surprise most that knew him to be otherwise. It appeared to be, for at least the moment, what one would call "A good day". Neither strange epiphanies, nor any desire to pretend to be something he was not had appeared.

Yet.

He waved his hand for a drink, only to sniff at it when the bartender gave what was ordered. There was some part of his brain that had some how been completely programed to have an aversion to the drink.

Keira walked into the bar. She needed a drink. It had been a while since she had treated herself to something nice. Maybe shed actually meet a classy guy tonight. Not like the idiots she had been attracting. Then she saw him. He brother.

"myles!" she exclaimed rushing over to him and wraping him in a hug "its been so long"
