The Hunt (Open)

Miles walked into the cave, he was surprized it wasn't as dark as he thought it would be he could clearly see many features of the cave

Miles then sat down on a rough smooth rock, and opened his book on Magical Creatures, he began flipping through the pages to the page on Lethifolds. While he knew that Lethifolds were dangerous creatures, and the only way to disarm them was with a patronus, but Miles desperatley wanted to capture one

Reaching into his satchal he pulled out a steel cage which he would contain the Lethifold, Miles continued searching through his bag til he found a meaty steak he walked a little further into the cave and placed the steak on the ground, he knew that Lethifolds were carnivorous and this would make a perfect trap to lure it out

Miles then kneeled down beside a rock, his wand at the ready

Charlotte decided that she was going to go and practice her training in the nearby cave, since Cobie seemed to be more interested in training his other apprentice or making out with Lalia, not like she minded the last one.

Wandering into the cave Charlotte sensed that there was someone else there and she wondered exactly why and who that was.

"Whos here?" she asked softly

Miles quickly looked around because he heard a voice, though the voice seemed somewhat familar to him, Miles tried to get a look at whoever it was without being seen so he stayed kneeled, though as hard as he tried he could quite see the person

Miles then took a deep breath and stood up nervously, relief surged through Miles as he realised it was Charlotte, the Slytherin girl who he had met at the Flourish and Blott

Miles smiled at Charlotte, "Hey Charlotte" Miles walked foward to meet her

Charlotte grinned softly as she saw that it was no vicious killer, but it was, in fact, Miles, the guy that she had met in Flourish and Blotts, which was a very big relief.

"Hey there Miles!"

With that Charlotte walked towards him and gave him a swift hug before looking around at the cave with a raised eyebrow.

"What brings you here?"

Miles noticed Charlotte's raised eyebrow, he then thought how odd it would seem for him to be here " Oh.. um im just trying to capture a Lethifold" Miles replied

" Im sure your familar with them, espcially since you spend so much time at Flourish and Blotts" Miles gave a little laugh trying to lighten the mood

he then quickly glanced over at the steak to make sure that the Lethifold hadn't taken it while he was talking to Charlotte

Charlottes eyes widened and she grinned happily, looking at the trap that Miles had set up, and she wondered if she should go behind a rock or something so that the trap would work better.

"That's so cool! Let's trap one! Sorry to interrupt."

Moving behind the rock Charlotte grinned and peeked out over the top of it with a small grin on her face.

"Ah yes, I have read a little bit about them, but they aren't the thing I read a lot about, I tend to read more about art and other creatures."

Miles smiled back at Charlotte, " Oh thats ok, you haven't interupted anything yet" Miles then walked over to the rock which he had hid behind he looked around for a rock which Charlottle could hid behind on the other side

Miles then looked down at his feet and saw a small pebble, Hmm i guess this will just have to do Miles thought to himself, he then pulled out his wand " Engorgio" the small peeble then swelled to a large size, definately big enough for Charlotte to hide behind. Miles then use the leviatating charm to move the now large rock over to the other side of the cave

He then face Charlotte and " Ok well you can hide behind that. Now the only way to stun and disarm a Lethifold is by using a patrous, as soon as it takes the bait which both strike it"

Miles then kneeled back down behind the rock with his wand at the ready

Charlotte smiled as Miles enlarged another rock got her to hide behind and she did so, crouching behind it so that she couldn't be seen by the creature as they tried to trap it with the bait Miles set up.

"Okay...how long will this take?" she whispered quietly

Eyes widening a little Charlotte couldnt believe that a boy like Miles in his first year could produce a patronus...maybe he just had a knack for it from an early age, although not knowing the spell Charlotte would try anyway.

"A patronus charm, got it."
