Staying in the Lake

"I kinda, sorta, almost also slapped you" Melanie rolled her eyes, before slapping Lola rather softly on the back of her head. "Oh.. wait! I actually did.. sorry" she laughed at her and playfully nudged her "By the way! If you haven't met her already, this is my friend and the puffle... Lola!" she said and turned to the other girls with a smile.

"Lo!" Ari called with a grin. "Hey!"

"Hello Ari" Lola smiled, she already knew Aurelie, she wasn't used to meeting new people and talking to them so she wasn't sure about what to say to the other girl, standing there with them so she just smiled shyly at her.
"Hi I'm Lola"

Ariadne beamed at Lola. "This is my good friend and fellow Gryff, Audrey 'Aud' Brown. She is the epitome of awesomeness."

Lola smiled.
"So what are you girls up to?"
She turned around and saw the sun shimmer on the lake 'Note to self,' she thought. 'learn a lot more about the sun'

"DANCING!" Melanie yelled and grabbed Ari's hands and twirled her around, when she was done she collapsed back on the ground "Sorry.. I felt like dancing"

Ariadne shrugged. "We're not really doing much. Although... Is it acceptable to have a small crush on your Muggle Studies teacher?" she asked, pinking at the cheeks. I have a problem with this blushing. I need to get it checked out.

Lola thought for a minute.
"Who is the Muggle studies teacher?" She asked raising one eyebrow.

"Professor Arterton," replied Ariadne with a smile. "He's really young and pretty and he's got dark hair and he's got a lush accent..." She stopped when she realised she was rambling, and giggled in the most girly fashion she had since she had arrived at Hogwarts.

Lola Rolled her eyes as she heard Ari rambling about her teacher crush.
"So what's up other than this one has a crush on her teacher?" She asked and pointed to Ari.

Ari grinned. "If you met him you'd agree," she insisted. "He's pretty cool."
She lounged back into the grass and looked up at the sky. "I hope we learn about the sun in Astronomy," she mused.

Lola smiled, why did she smile so much? Maybe it was because she was meeting people instead of just studying the sun or something.
"I was making a note to myself to learn about the sun" She said as she looked up to the sky. 'note to self' she thought yet again 'learn about the clouds too'

"Nice to meet you, Audrey," Aurelie said, beaming. "Ha-ha, Mel, you're the only "M" here." She smiled at Mel. "TACKLE ATTACK!" she said, lunging at Mel and tackling her to the ground.

"I totally agree Ari!" Melanie nodded excited when she realized about who Lola and Ari had bene talking about "I want to kick myself for not being in Muggle Studies ... he's gorgeous!"

She gasped for a moment when Aurie lounged her self at her but the laughed "OH YAY! I LOVE TACKLE TIME!!

Ari nodded triumphantly and grinned as the others began to tackle.
She looked over at Aud and Lo and beamed. "They can be normal sometimes, honest!" She pondered this. "Sometimes even more normal than me."

She looked over to see Aud had her diary again and smiled. "I've never kept a diary. I'd probably ought to, but I never seem to be able to remember to write in it. Do you write in it everyday, or do you lose patience every now and again?"

Aurelie grinned at Allie from her seat next to Mel and Mary.

Lola looked at Audrey's diary "I've tried to keep a diary but I always stop, I don't understand how people can do it.." Lola said and sighed.
'Note to self. Try to keep a diary for a whole month.'

Aurelie grinned at Lola. "I remember I tried to have a diary. My cat tore it apart in a record-breaking hour."

Ari laughed.
"My cat's too fat and lazy to even so much as look at a diary, never mind tear it apart. Poor Aurie."

"With all this diary chat ... I want to hold one..." she bit her lip "I'll have to ask mom to buy a book for me and send it to me... But I bet I won't be able to remember to write in it everyday," she sighed and turned to Audrey "How do you do it? And have you held Diaries for long?"

"Ha! When's your birthday, Mel? I'll be sure to get you one!" Aurelie said, laughing.
