Before its Too Late

Faye shivered and huddled in on herself as another tremor took over. She hated this part, she really did, but if it would work -

She bit her lip to keep from whimpering aloud. If she made nose then the healer would come, and if the healer came, she'd make her take some kind of pain potion. And she didn't want to do that. She didn't want to take more potions than she had to. Wasn't this enough.

And besides....

If she could feel the pain, then she would know it was working. If she could feel the potion take out every rogue cell then she would know-know-

She bit back another cry.

But it hurt so much.
