Shark in the Water Empty Shark in the Water

Post by Savannah Lerran Fri Aug 03, 2012 8:35 pm

This was becoming a yearly thing for her, wasn't it?

She didn't even need to go to the washroom, she just liked the peaceful element of the place. Sitting by the edge of the tub, she giggled, filling it with up with colourful water.

Though her laughter froze in her throat as the silvery water slowly began turning red. Swallowing hard, her heart jumped into her throat and she quickly began fiddling with the taps to turn the water any other colour. But she was so obsessed with the colour of the water not resembling blood that she barely noticed the water levels as they rose to the edge. Shutting off the water as it turned into a dark blue, she let go of the breath she hadn't noticed she was holding.

For a moment, it looked like it'd be fine. But as she added foam and bubbles, the tub overflowed, sending water and bubbles and foam cascading down the side and onto the floor.

Eyes widening, Savannah swallowed hard before breaking into laughter. "Oopsie."

Shark in the Water Empty Re: Shark in the Water

    Coyota was lost again.

She had been wandering for long enough that she didn't even remember what floor she was on, and the longer she wandered the less people there were around her, and the more nervous she got.

The hallway she was currently in happened to be entirely empty. The only sound was the hollow clicking of her shoes against the stone floors. Click, click, click, click, The sound began filling the empty space in her head. Even though she knew she was alone, Coyota got the intense feeling that someone was there... following her

She closed her eyes as she walked, hoping that would drive out the noise,
Click, click, click, click. Her breathing became heavier and quicker. She had to get away. Something to distract her, or at least stop this noise.

She started running, looking desperately around her, Click, click, click-click, clickclickclickclickclick. Another sound entered the hallway. Something that sounded like running water.

Without a second thought, Coyota starting running towards it. Somehow she knew that whoever was following her was getting closer, and she sped up, until she came to a door with a small puddle forming underneath it. She burst inside and slammed it behind her, breathing heavily.

Continuing to giggle, Savannah watched, amused, as the water swirled, heading towards the door. Oh, she'd get in so much trouble for this, but she really didn't care. Clapping her hands together, her gaze drifted back towards the tub taps. She could always add more....

But the idea died the moment the door burst open. Letting out a little scream, the Gryffindor turned, wide eyed, towards the entrant. Oh no. She looked older. Savannah was probably about to lose a million house points now. About to mutter a million apologies, she gave the girl a better look.

The older girl looked terrified out of her skin. "Are - are you alright?" she asked, leaning towards her, peering up from underneath her eyelashes.

Coyota flattened herself against the door when she heard the scream, almost as if the sound had caused a wave of energy that had physically pushed her back. She sighed after finding that the source of the noise was nothing but a girl who seemed a couple years younger than her, and almost as frightened as she was.

The Slytherin closed her eyes and nodded, still pressed against the door, "Just a spot of... well... I don't really know what it is. I would say homesickness... but it was like this at home, too." She frowned, noticing the puddle spreading all across the room, "What's with the water?"

"Um, okay." Savannah said softly, frowning. This girl was weird, she decided, and Ava backed her up. Though, she thought as she tilted her head, she didn't seem to be about to get her in trouble. Which was good, she supposed.

Following her gaze to the water, the Gryffindor grinned, clapping her hands together. "It's fun. I mean, I didn't plan on this," she waved a hand at the floor, "but it was fun."

Giggling softly, she leaned back and forth, dancing to a music only she seemed to be able to here.

Coyota stared at the girl, her mouth a little bit open, "Right..." She considered leaving right now. After all, she was at the door, and clearly they had nothing to gain from being around each other. But then she remembered the person in the hallway, and for some reason she felt she was a little safer here.

Her eyes strayed to the mess of water again, and realized where they were. Wasn't this place supposed to be off limits? Plus, there was no way that this girl was a prefect.

"Do you... want some help cleaning this up?" She asked, looking around for some sort of supply closet. If either of them were caught here with the bath overflowing... it wouldn't look good.

Twiddling her thumbs, Savannah glanced up at the older girl, tilting her head slightly. What had that meant? Scratching her head for a moment, the Gryffindor shrugged it off. Maybe she hadn't really meant anything by it. Yes, that was it.

"You'd actually help?" Her eyes widened, she grinned. She hadn't expected.....maybe Ava had been wrong about her. "That's awesome, thank you." Leaping up, she gave the older girl a quick huh before pulling away, humming softly as she glanced down at the water at her feet.

"Do you know any spells that can move water?"

Coyota nodded at the girl with a small smile. Her eyes strayed to the water, which was becoming more and more daunting. Her attention focused on the mess, she didn't notice Savannah go in for the hug, and she nearly jumped out of her skin the instant she felt something touching her.

Every muscle in her body seemed to tense up as she scolded herself for letting someone get close to her. Finally, it was over... and Coyota still seemed to be alive. There was no way she was letting that happen again.

The girl bit her lip as she looked around the room, "Ummm...." She took her wand out of her pocket and aimed it at the floor, "Tergeo." A small area of water the size of one of the tiles evaporated, only to be replaced by even more water. Coyota frowned, "It might just be easier to mop this up..."

Stepping back at the girl's flinching away from her touch, Savanah bit her lip. She hadn't meant to startle the poor girl. Deciding that if she was ever going to touch the girl again, she'd give her ample warning, the Gryffindor gave herself a little nod.

"A mop," Savannah muttered, frowning. "Okay. That can work." Twiddling her thumbs, she glanced back up at the older girl. "Do you know how to make mops appear out of nowhere?"
