    The Cushioning Charm creates an invisible "pillow" on the handle of a broom to make flying more comfortable. The Incantation is Macero, Latin for 'soften.'

    TASK: Pick up a broom. You are to successfully cast the Cushioning Spell on that broom and fly a lap around the classroom around it. (It has been cleared of all desks by this point.)
