Fight For Your Right to Party - Fifth Years

This was it. The moment she'd been waiting for since first years. Today, she would be learning Expecto Patronum. She read all she could about this particular spell. She wanted to be able to see what her patronus was. She was guessing it would be something to match her mothers or fathers. She gathered her books and headed off to the Defense classroom

Karma yawned, her feet propped up on the desk once more as she leaned backward in her chair, her eyes on the ceiling and her head lolling backward. She was so intensely bored. Her wand was held loosely in her hand, and as her mind wandered, she slowly, surely, became furious.

That absolute wench had stolen Demonslayer from her! She'd loved that knife! She didn't have ANY knives left! She felt so... so...

Angry!

Positively growling, Karma closed her eyes and took a deep breath through her nose. She'd deal with the Satan Follower later. She'd have to.

"Boo!" He whispered. Not intending to quite scare her but not not scaring her either. "You seem awfully quiet today, what's up?" He asked sitting in the seat beside her. Something was up, first the fight with Nightmare and now the silence, something wasn't quite right.

"Spit it out Karma, you can't lie to me."

Karma lost her balance.

Her chair slammed forward, and her hand automatically went to the small of her back to grab...

Nothing.

Her jaw clenched, and she glared at Arsen, too completely absolutely furious with everything and everyone to recognize him. After a long second, recognition flashed in her eyes, and she was facing forward again, anger a nearly tangible presence around her.

Somewhere over her shoulder, Kama laughed. Instinctively, Karma tilted her head slightly in that direction, listening to Kama's words, and not even noticing them slipping out of her mouth.

"Karma's been unarmed."

"Un armed huh?" He asked noting how she almost seemed to want to attack him just then. If it hadn't been for the lack of weapons would she had? Who know. "And who was stupid enough to unarm her? Not a student i know that much." He asked speaking directly to Kama because he knew Karma wasn't in control right now.

"Wait! Does that mean... please tell me they didn't take the demon slayer?"

Kama glanced at him, the unabashed glee evident in her gaze a complete contrast to Karma's fury. "She's only angry because her soul's been ripped out and returned to her by the Headmaster. Not to mention Demonslayer is gone, along with all 22 other daggers, knives, and blades Karma keeps on her person at any given time. She's also angry because she didn't want to tell you, because it came with a message for you and she doesn't want you to-" And then her eyes were light again, and she was silent. Her hands were curled into tight fists, and her knuckles were white. She was going to slaughter every single one of them! She was going to...

She met his eyes, hers a mixture of so many emotions they were unreadable.

She'd have to tell him, wouldn't she?

"Aspen and Djinn say hi." Karma grumbled at last. "And Demonslayer is currently a tattoo right around... here." She gestured to her side, moving her hand around the general area. She hadn't exactly had the best of view, up against the wall and such.

Lora walked into the DADA classroom, feeling bored. She was highly energetic today for some reason and really wanted to have a duel with someone. Or at least learn some new spell and practice that. She was still depressed and angry thinking about Dyl, which meant her spell casting would have more vigour.

Sighing, she sat down and wondered if he would show up. Would he even remember her?

Ric entered the classroom, ignoring that was already happening in there. He wasn't interested. What he was interested in was todays lesson, he was here to teach. "Dementors!" He said simply. "Vile creatures that can only be sent away. Not destroyed. Who can tell me the spell to cast them away?" He asked.

Expecto Patronum, Soulseer. Kama piped up. Karma's eyes widened minisculey and she glanced at Arsen, glancing from him to the headmaster and back. It casts a patronus, that takes the form of an animal...creature... if you think about a particular memory with good feelings attached.

Karma's mouth stayed firmly shut, and she mentally shoved at her other half. Cut it out, Kama!

I'll say what I want. He can hear me, and its high time I talked to someone other than you.

Karma blinked, and grit her teeth irritably. This was not what she needed today. "The spell is Expecto Patronum." She said, closing her eyes and pinching her nose in irritation. "It casts a patronus, which is a representation of your soul, usually an animal, but known to take other forms as well."

Ric tilted his head to the side but only slighly as he listened to Kama's answer. He still wanted to rip the little brat from the body and send her straight hell but he wasn't entirely sure Karma could survive the ordeal without her.

"Correct you are Karma. What is a patronus used for?"

Nathaniel came in the classroom his hair tidy as usual.He sat in front of class anied looked at his homewkk.Nathaniel tried to ignore the other students

Arsen raised his eyebrow. The headmaster could rip out souls now? Since when did he have the power to do that? And someone had taken Demonslayer? After days of hardwork slaving away to make it perfect. A growl escaped his lips. "Who stole it Karma?" He asked meeting her eyes.

His breath caught in his throat. Did she say Aspen? "Aspens dead, i saw him die. He's got to be dead." He reassured himself. He had to be dead. But he'd died and his father had brought him back. If his uncle really was back and he was with his father then that could only mean one thing...

Without another word he sprung to his feet and left the classroom. He couldn't bare to be inside anylonger. He felt trapped and needed air.

Lora raised her hand before replying hesitantly, "A patronus is basically a shield that helps you to defend yourself from the dementors. Though it doesn't kill them, they can't hurt you because of they happy memory that you've conjured up in your mind that is radiated in the form of that shield."

She remembered having done the lesson once in Durmstrang, and hoped what she said was right.

Nathaniel looked at Alora.He raised his hand "isnt a patronus something that is a happy memory" Nathaniel looked right at the professor.Nathaniel sat down with his books and waited for an answer.Nathaniel waited and wrote in his book.Nathaniel liked Ravenclaw he was on.Nathaniel waited for a bit.Nathaniel looked he was wondering when he would have the owls.
