October smirked, "Treasure hunt, eh. Why no-."

October was about to finish her sentence when she heard a rustling noise in the distance from behind her. She turned around and looked in the direction the noise came from, then there was another noise, only this time it was closer. She turned around and looked at Harrison, "Hide someone's coming."

Perhaps it was instinct or just common sense. But when Harrison heard the noises, he quickly threw the torch at the direction that they were coming from.

"This way." Harrison whispered, leading October into what looked like a small study room before moving behind a large file cabinet that wasn't far from a mahogany desk that he whispered. "Take cover."

With the door being the only way out, Harrison looked around before seeing an open ventilation shaft along with a window that remained open, having been shattered some time ago. Whatever was making the noise was a mystery but Harrison braced himself for a potential confrontation.

October hid under the mahogany desk, while Harrison went behind a file cabinet. October heard the noise again, only this this time it was right outside the study, 'it was like the thing knew exactly where we went, or maybe we were just loud' she thought.

She was pulled out of her thoughts when she heard the study room door open, she heard someone come in and started walking, she was about to take a quick peek when the figure stopped right in front of the desk.

October held her breath and tried not to make a noise. She saw the person just stand there, October then noticed something sticking out of there left pocket, a wand.

'So whoever this person is, is a witch or wizard. But who would want to live in such a dodgy place.' She thought.

The person moved, he/she started to walk away from the desk, and in a few seconds out the door when she heard the study room door shut with a click. When she felt it was safe she crawled from under the desk and stood up.

    She whispered, "That was close."

Harrison felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand when he heard the study room open and saw the unknown individual enter. The wand indicated a magic-user but the darkness kept the gender a mystery. When he saw the person near the desk, he was readying himself for an ambush. But the person left the study room before the door closed with a click.

"Too close." Harrison whispered before looking at the window. "I don't plan to see who that was or if that person was alone or not."

    "Well I am." October said.

Harrison must have thought that she was crazy when she said that, but there was a reason. When October saw the person standing in front of her she noticed that on the person's arm was a tatoo, she definitely knew it wasn't the dark mark, because if it was then she would have left with Harrison. But no, it was the same mark her Aunt Sally had, October remembered seeing it in a photo album, with her best friend Fred Weasley II. Aunt Sally had disappeared just a few days after that picture was taken, around the time when Muggles found out about magic.

October looked back at Harrison, "Look if you want to go you can, but I need to find out whoever that person is. You're free to join."

Harrison sighed and shook his head. This was getting wild and October showed a stubbornness that was very unyielding. At the moment, the crossroads of just leaving or following beckoned and the internal strife on choices was not something that Harrison wanted to go through.

Taking a deep breath, he finally answered. "Fine, October. Lead on. But if something happens, I'll come back and haunt you in every way possible and in other ways considered impossible."

Harrison waited for October to proceed in the exploration, which is now a stalking mission in a way.

October nodded, "Alright if you want to come, let's go."

October slowly opened the door, making sure it didn't make noise, she poked her head outside to see if anyone was there, there wasn't. She turned back to Harrison, "Coast clear, come on."

October went back in to the hallway, and once again raised her wand whispering, "Lumos." She stood there for a few seconds thinking where she wanted to check first, "Let's check the kitchen." She said making up her mind.

When they got there, it looked empty, there wasn't any furniture or anything. October checked the cabinets and only found two rats and many cockroaches and spiders. She looked around the room again, and found a door. She went to it and tried opening it, it was locked, she used her wand and said, "Alohamora" that didn't work either.

After a few more tries, she gave up. That was until an idea dawned on her, she stood in front of the door and said, "Open" and with that she heard a soft click, and the door was unlocked.

Harrison tagged after October as she illuminated the path ahead of them and led the way. As ever, he remained vigilant and, while continuing through the abandoned building, remembered his trek through a dead town that had revenants although magicals called them Inferi. The current situation seemed eerily familiar in a way in terms of moving silently without attracting attention like earlier.

Seeing October speak to a door, Harrison waited to see what was on the other side before intending to follow after.

October didn't know how she knew to open the door, by saying open, she just did. It was like she did it before somewhere, maybe Hogwarts.

As the two stepped in the next room, it lead to a room filled with pictures, October wen to a a desk, and picked a picture up. What she next saw surprised her, it was a picture of her and Aunt Sally.

'Where did they get this?' she thought.

October was about to look in a cabinet, when she heard a crash from upstairs.

Following October, Harrison noticed that there were a lot of pictures on the walls. It was hardly anything of importance such that he kept an eye on the door while waiting to see if she found anything interesting.

It was only a while later that he heard a crash upstairs and Harrison's mind went on overdrive.

"What in the world?" he whispered, wondering if it was the same person from earlier.

Running past Harrison, October ran straight upstairs. She checked all rooms to find who made the noise. Of course luck wasn't on her side, she didn't find the person. But something did catch her eye. A room. All the way at the end of the hall was room, one that she knew all to well.

October went inside and recognized all the paintings on the walls. The bed covers were only something she would have, this was October's room. Then the memories, the eerie feeling, it swept over her like a gust of wind. This was her house.

Her family had taken sides with the dark lord, they had become abusive and mean. October had found a diary in her parents room, it had a plan about the dark lord rising again...for the third time. When her parents found out, she ran away from the house, and from the country. That's when she knew this was all a trap.

Turning back to Harrison, "We have to leave now."

Seeing October run past him, Harrison quickly went after, moving up the stairs before reaching the floor where he saw her check the rooms for the source of the noise. It didn't look like the cause was present before seeing October enter another room. Harrison noticed that October was studying the details of the room's interior before he took a good look. Everything didn't register except for the possible chance that it had a feminine quality to it, one of innocence and purity.

Hearing her speak that they had to leave, Harrison was inclined to agree but not before he heard something in the interior of the house once more.

"Oh great, now what?!" Harrison snapped, hands clenching into fists while his eyes narrowed at the doorway leading to the hall.

October was getting ready to leave, when she heard a noise coming from the hallway downstairs.
She saw Harrison clench his fist, taking one more look at her room, she left the room and to the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, were two figures, a woman and a man.

They started to clap. Then one on the left started to talk, "October, sweetheart it's good to see you again, and who's your friend?" The figure talking had a high pitched feminine voice.

Then the second figure started to talk, this one had a deep muscular voice, "Mustn't waste time Rachel. October give us the book, we know you had it."

October then knew who theses two people were, her parents, Rachel and Ethan. October took two steps down the stairs, "Where's Shane and Justin?"

"Exactly where you will go if you don't hand us that book!" Ethan shouted.

October was getting angry now she needed to know where her brothers were.

"You better tell me where they are or else I won't give it."

This time Rachel spoke, "Ethan, why don't we show our daughter where they are."

    "Yes. Yes you're right. Men."

When October heard her father say "men" she saw two hooded figures grab Harrison from behind her.

October raised her wand at her parents, "Let him go."

"Now sweetheart, you don't want to do that now would you, or maybe something might happen to your friend." Her mother said.

From the corner of her eye she saw one of the hooded men, bring a knife to Harrison's neck.

OOC: Ok, what I'm going to do but not mention is that, the book is in October's bag (which she has with her right now).
Also sorry for what I did to you, the story just had to go somewhere, and that's all that came in my head. Smile

Perhaps this was a night that Harrison couldn't forget as he found himself grabbed by two men before observing October exchanging words with two others. From the gist of the conversation, he couldn't believe it. They were her parents?! The exchange didn't seem to be peaceful because he then felt one of the men hold a dagger to his throat. So much for peaceful negotiations. October's parents seem to mean business.

Looking at the dagger, Harrison subtly focused on it, noting that it wasn't held at the right angle. A slip-up would cause a critical wound but not a fatal one. Nonetheless, he figured that he would have to play his trump card right somehow.

"You sure have an interesting family, October." Harrison remarked, readying his mind for a telekinetic strike. Still, he didn't like the odds.

OOC: It's fine. At least, it'll give Harrison a good reason to use telekinesis when the opportunity presents itself.

October heard Harrison speak from behind her, she smirked, "Tell me about it."

October looked at her parents, who had climbed the stairs and were only a few feet in front of her.

October took the book her parents desperately needed, and held it right in front of her so her parents can see it.

"You mean this book." She said.

"Yes, that book. Now why don't you give it to daddy like a good girl." Ethan said reaching for it.

October pulled her arm back and scoffed, "Daddy? I killed you both from my life the day I found out what you were planning to do. Plus I won't let you have this book no matter what happens."

"Does that make sense?" She whispered to Harrison referring to the 'I killed you both from my life the day I...'

"Well, if that's the case then guess we can play the hard way." Rachel said from behind her husband.

Rachel took out her wand and pointed it at October. "I think two simple words should do it. Avada Ked-"

Hearing her mother start the killing curse she pulled out her own wand.

"Expelliarmus! Stupefy!" October screamed making her mother fly back down the stairs.

Ethan pointed his wand at October, "How dare you?!?! Crucio!"

October fell to the ground screaming in pain, she felt like thousand knives were being thrown at her. Her father headed picked up the book and started heading down the stairs saying, "Yes, we got it the Dark Lord will finally rise again."

Catching October's cryptic question, Harrison was a bit on a loss regarding it before settling with the perspective that she didn't see her biological parents as her parents. At least that was what he thought but when the spells started flying, Harrison noticed that the two men holding him were distracted and it was more than enough for him to exploit. He slammed his elbow into stomach of the dagger-wielding man, knocking the wind out of him before quickly striking the other with a well-aimed knee to the family jewels such that he dropped like a sack of potatoes. Grabbing the other man by his arm, Harrison twisted around to overextend it before kicking the back of his leg, forcing him down onto one knee. Disarming him of the dagger, Harrison kicked the side of the man's head.

'I think Tex would've done much better.'
Harrison thought before hearing October scream in pain. Seeing the man that was apparently her father grab the book and moving to leave, Harrison threw the dagger at his wand hand. Pointing his left index finger at the book, Harrison focused to send a telekinetic blast at it. With the floorboards containing holes, it would likely end up somewhere in the darkness of the cellar.

October felt the ground shake, she looked up and saw her father falling down the stairs with a dagger in his hand. His wand had fallen carelessly to the side.

She stood up, looking behind her she saw Harrison unhurt standing there, and the two men who was holding him, had fallen to the ground unconscious next to him.

But she couldn't find the book anywhere, she looked at Harrison, "Where's the book?"

OOC: Ok so what I understood out of your last post is that the book is already in the cellar. Correct me if I am wrong.

Perhaps he should've paid more attention to where the book had fallen but Harrison had taken the liberty in kicking both men in the face as hard as he could just to incapacitate them before heading down the stairs to see October recovering.

Hearing her question, Harrison was about to answer but realized that not every hostile was unconscious at the moment to not hear.

Tapping his foot near the edge of a large hole on the floorboard, Harrison hoped that October would get the message although he added cryptically in a whisper that she could hear. "In a more darker place."

Looking around, Harrison spoke. "You might want to take their wands before they get their act together."

October saw Harrison tap his foot on the edge of a large hole. Taking the hint the book went down the hole, she nodded slightly.

"You might want to take their wands before they get their act together." She heard Harrison say.

"Ya, you're right. I'll tie them up as well, do you think you can get a few chairs." She asked, while picking up the wands.

While Harrison went to find some chairs, October went to the edge of the hole and said, "Lumos." She could see the book all the way at the bottom of the hole, near some cabinets. She was about to jump down the hole when Harrison came back with the chairs and putting them in a row.

"Accio book." She said, and the book came flying out of the hole right into her hands. After putting the book safely into her bag, she looked at the criminals who were still sprawled out across the floor.

"Please help me get them into the chairs, Harrison." She said while grabbing one of the hooded men by there arms and dragging them on to a chair.

After they were done, she said, "Incarcerous." binding them into the chairs.

Since October's request was valid enough, Harrison went through the house before finding some chairs that were still intact despite the damage caused by their disuse and lack of maintenance. One of them had some sharp splinters sticking up from the seat and he figured that one of them wasn't going to have a pleasant time with it. Gathering the chairs, he returned before setting them in a row. Once done, he heard October speak another request before moving about and hoisting the assailants onto the chairs.

After seeing October cast a spell that bound them with ropes, Harrison then asked. "Alright, now what? Interrogation or just leave them there?"

OOC: I assume that October's parents are also tied up too?

After they were done, October looked at Harrison, who had just asked her a question. October thought, 'What are we going to do?" Then she remembered that her friend, Stephanie Allen's father was an Auror, with the famous Harry Potter.

She looked up at Harrison, "Do you think you can stay here for a second I can get one of my friend's father here, he's an Auror." She paused. "A wizard police." She added, thinking that maybe he didn't know what an Auror was.

Harrison may have known about the magical world but he wasn't familiar with the details within it. Luckily, October provided a good and simple set of terminology that explained one unfamiliar term in a nutshell.

"Yeah, go ahead." Harrison replied before keeping an eye on the tied up assailants, specifically October's parents. What kind of people would attack their own daughter or treat her so badly like earlier? This mention about a Dark Lord or whoever that was didn't sound good.

Leaning against a wall, Harrison waited while watching over things.

October looked back at Harrison once more, "Thanks!" With that she disapparated.

The next time October touched ground was when she was right in front of Stephanie's house. She walked up the porch, and knocked. She waited a few minutes before getting attacked by 2 pairs of arms.

    "Stephanie. David I... can't... breath."

"Sorry October, but you haven't come to visit in a long time, so we had the right to do that." Stephanie said getting off of the girl.

"Right, it's great to see you both to, but I kinda need to see your dad, and it's urgent." October said.

"Our dad? Why would you want to see our dad when you can see us." David said finally let going of October.

October took a deep breath, finally getting usage of her lungs, "I'll explain everything to you but let me see your dad first."

"Fine come on." Stephanie grumbled, "Dad, October's here to see you."

Stephanie's dad (or as October called him Nathan) came out into the living room.

"October it's wonderful to see you. Now what brings you to our comfy, but messy home." Nathan said giving October a hug.

"Right. This may take sometime, so is it ok if we go in to the sitting room." October said gesturing to said room.

"Yes, sure let's go." Nathan said leading the way.

All three kids followed, when in the sitting room and everyone got comfortable October started on her adventure with Harrison. After sitting there for about 30 mins. did someone other that October spoke.

"Is this Harrison guy cute?" Stephanie asked.

    "Really? Stephi." October said fustrated.

"No but really-" She started again but was cut off by her dad.

"Not now Stephanie," turning to October," October can you give us the address, I'll bring my team and we'll apparate ASAP."

October nodded, and wrote down the address and gave it to Nathan, after giving her a short nod he disapparated to the Ministry.

Stephanie and David looked at October with a you-are-taking-us-with-you look. October sighed and held out her hands. Both siblings took hold of each hand, and they disapparated to the building.

Amid waiting for October to return, Harrison kept watch before noticing that two of the tied assailants was stirring back to consciousness. Walking over, he struck the back of their heads, knocking them out cold again and back into dreamland before going upstairs. Finding a pillow cover, he went back down before taking a pocketknife and cutting it into long strips. Harrison then went around, using the cloth strips as blindfolds. He didn't know on what kind of magic that they were capable of but depriving them of their eyesight would at least hinder them should they regain consciousness.

"I wonder what's taking her so long." Harrison muttered to himself before checking his watch when he heard three cracks outside of the house.

Heading inside the building, October, Stephanie, and David saw Harrison with a torn up pillow and October's parents blindfolded.

"Stephanie, David this is Harrison. The guy I was telling you about, and Harrison this is Stephanie my best friend from school, and David her-" October said introducing each other, before getting cut off by David.

    "I'm October's boyfriend."

"Haha very funny David, no this is Stephanie's brother, and my other best friend." October said.

October looked at her parents seeing that they were still knocked out.

"Good thinking on the blindfolds, Harrison. Oh and Stephanie's dad, should be here soon."

Right after she said that, they heard a loud crack outside, Nathan and 3 other people had just entered the room and saw the people in the chairs.

"So those are your parents and there helpers." Nathan said pointing at the blindfolded people.

"Yep, there they are. You can take them to Azkaban now." October said.

'Right we'll do that, but first we need to see that notebook you were talking about." One f the Ministry officials said.

October took out the book and handed it to Nathan, who opened and read the contents within the book. After a few minuets, he looked at Harrison, "Who are you?"
